As I’m sure a lot of you will agree, most days are for nude lips. They’re easy, hassle free, go with everything. But sometimes a bold lip is necessary. For me, it’s random days during the week when I’m going to work, or if I’m going out somewhere on a weekend to amp up a look. I love bold lips, but just can’t be bothered to wear them everyday, or even too often. I’ve got a handful of standbys though for when the bold mood strikes!
Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Big Bang
This juicy looking red goes on glossy but can be set by blotting. It lasts well throughout the day with a few minor touch ups. Careful to not apply too much though, it’s a little slippery.
Colour Pop Lippie Stix in Julep
I picked the color Julep pretty randomly on the Colour Pop website. I thought it looked like a unique shade of coral that would be a great addition to my collection. I love the formula because it really sticks to the lips and I always get compliments on it!.
L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in Rouge Envy
Raspberry is one of my favorite shades, but I have a hard time finding the exact right shade for my lips. This matte gloss is on the dark side, but has enough pink to really pop. Love the formula of these!
Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon in Primrose Hill Picnic
Sometimes you need to wear the most ridiculous color ever. That’s my go to if I’m going to a show or a really darkly lit bar. Primrose Hill is the brightest pink lipstick I own, by far.
Bite Beauty Lip Crayon in Aubergine
This shade from Bite is a bit darker on this spectrum, but it’s still definitely a bold shade! It’s the most purple of any lipstick I own, and thus doesn’t get a ton of use. It’s a great formula though, so it’s a great option for when I do want purple!
