Do you ever go back to a product you haven’t used in ages? And then get reminded about how great it was, and wonder why you ever stopped in the first place? Today, that product for me is Trish McEvoy’s perfume ‘No. 9 Blackberry and Vanilla Musk’. I first used this perfume when I was 16, almost 10 years ago! I used it on and off in high school and the beginning of college, but just repurchased a bottle. I remembered the perfume being more expensive, but it was actually a good price for a perfume, plus I got cash back through eBates. I am so happy to have it back in my life!
Happy. Discover No. 9 Blackberry and Vanilla Musk, a warm, spicy-sweet scent that combines juicy blackberry buds, rich vanilla and sensuous velvet musk with white rose and cashmere woods.Top: Juicy blackberry buds, dark plum, touch of MandarinMiddle: White rose, tiare flower, osmanthusBase: Crystallized vanilla, velvet musk cashmere woods
I loved this perfume from the moment I first smelled it. I feel it’s a bit different than a lot of other perfumes, but not too weird and out there that people think you’re crazy. It’s fresh, it’s fun, it’s young.
It’s the blackberry that steals the show here, without it I don’t think it’d be very interesting. Imagine a blackberry candy. Or blackberry ice cream. Then add some floral notes and turn it into a perfume. Yum. (Blackberry ice cream sounds SO good.)
I think I may just have to decide now, once and for all, that this is my perfume. I love the idea of having one perfume that you wear everyday. That way there is a scent associated with me. This is the perfect scent, I don’t think anyone could hate it.
Obviously it’s hard to explain how great a scent is through text. Next time you’re wandering around the beauty department of a department store look out for Trish McEvoy and try No. 9!
