Face Lotion Overload

favorite facial lotions

Do you ever open your medicine cabinet….and suddenly realize you have way more skincare than you, or anyone, really needs? I think that’s everyday for me actually. The other day I noticed specifically how many face lotions I had. I’ve only got one face, how much lotion do I need? While my boyfriend does use some of them once in awhile, it is still ridiculous that I have so many. The catch; I sort of love them all….Here’s a quick run down of what is currently in rotation and why it’s sticking around.

derma e evely radiant

Derma E Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Creme SPF 15

For daytime I use, I like to use a cream with SPF. I have a primer and foundations with SPF, but I like to start with a layer of it so I don’t have to worry. SPF 15 is light, but I’m inside 90% of the day anyway. The Evenly Radiant creme from Derma E blends into the skin quickly, perfect for make up application.

reviva labs alpha lipoic

Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester and DMAE Cream

I’d heard a few people say they were big fans of this cream from Reviva Labs, so I picked it up when I saw it at Marshall’s. As you can tell from the name, it is packed with a lot of ingredients that are great for skin. It’s a light weight cream that gives my skin great hydration overnight without being heavy or breaking me out. I love how simple it feels, but it’s actually doing a ton for me!

cyto luxe

Cyto-luxe from Glo Therapeutics Light Moisture

I’f I’m not putting on the Derma E SPF cream, I still need some moisturizer, but I don’t want anything heavy. Light Moisture from the Cyto-luxe range at Glo Therapeutics is just what it says it is. A simple, light weight moisturizer, that has great ingredients my skin can absorb all day long. Plus, beautiful packaging!

derma e tea tree

Derma E Tea Tree and E Antiseptic Creme

For days when skin is looking worse for wear, this is my go to. Tea Tree is an awesome ingredient for acne, but is annoying to use in oil form. Derma E makes it super easy, plus it comes in a big tub so I don’t have to repurchase right away. This is the cream my boyfriend uses the most out of my stash. It makes acne fighting and prevention easier without over drying skin!

glycoloc acid cream

Reviva Labs 5% Glycolic Acid Cream

I hate to pick favorites, but I think I have to with this one. I’d used Glycolic Acid before in products, but I’ve noticed it the most with this one. The 5% Glycolic Acid cream, another from Reviva Labs, it the perfect addition to my skincare routine. 2-3 times a week, I apply this as my last step. It tingles a bit on the more sensitive areas of my face. I awake with glowy, fresh looking skin!

lotions

As if I don’t have enough, what other lotions do I need to experiment with?

  1. The Reviva Labs 5% GA Moisturizer is incredible! I loved it. I tried to go up to their 10% but it was too much for my skin. I’ve gotta try mixing the two for a while and see if I can step up that way. I also have the Cyto-Luxe, and I’ve been waiting for the warm weather to start using it. This week, I actually could use it! Thanks for the reminder

  2. I like the sound of the Cyto-luxe. I find it difficult to get face moisturisers that don’t add to my acne woes.

  3. I love Derma e products and always love when I get those day cream samples in the my beauty boxes!! Do you have as many night creams as well as day! I know a few of my day creams double as night creams as long as it doesn’t have SPF in them and apply a little more thickly (if you have dry skin)
