The last few weeks have been very busy for me. It’s nice now I can finally unwind a little and not have to worry about doing a million things. All the things I did the last few weeks were awesome and enjoyable, but still, busy!! I wanted to take this time to just reflect a little on everything I did. Now it’s time to catch up on sleep and spend some time on the couch with my cat.
- Passover Seder April 22, 2016
To start off, I went to Passover Seder at my cousin’s house. I love Passover, even though I’m like barely Jewish. We always have a ton of fun and the food is great. It was my cousin’s first time hosting and she did an amazing job! Already looking forward to next year. After that, the boyfriend and I hopped down town to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was a long, long night.
2. Bachelorette Party in NYC April 23-24, 2016
Literally the next day, I was on a bus up to NYC for my future sister-in-laws bachelorette party! We didn’t do anything too crazy, but still had a great time. Dinner, drinks and brunch! It was fun to get to meet some of her friends and all get to know each other a little.
3. Pete Davidson at Helium Comedy Club and PA Primaries April 26, 2016
As an early birthday present for my boyfriend, I bought us tickets to see Pete Davidson from SNL at a comedy club in the city. But first that morning we got to vote in the PA primaries, and I proudly wore my sticker all day. The comedy show was awesome, and luckily didn’t go too late since it was a Tuesday! I love going to comedy shows, and luckily this venue hosts a lot of great acts at a good price.
4. Shad Fest in Lambertville, NJ April 30, 2016
One of my favorite times of year is Shad Fest in Lambertville where my parents live. It’s a cute small town, and Shad Fest is how we welcome spring! There is always a ton of food, music, and awesome vendors. My favorite thing to do is get a crab cake sandwich from my favorite restaurant, they only sell them during Shad Fest weekend! It was cold and rainy, but we had a lot of pre-wedding stuff to do inside!
In the midst of all of this was my boyfriend’s birthday. After a day at work we had a lovely dinner at a new restaurant in our neighborhood. We then went out for drinks with friends and stayed out way too late. Still had tons of fun though. Happy birthday babe!
The end of all this madness was a three day marathon that was my brother’s wedding. Friday included packing up the cars, finishing decorations, and getting nails done. That night we had a casual, but still large dinner at my parent’s farm and attempted to rehearse! Saturday started at 7am. Hair, then make up, setting up decor, pictures, and then finally a little time to relax before the ceremony. After a cloudy, rainy morning, the sun came out for the ceremony and it was beautiful. Sunday we hosted a brunch at our house for family. I can’t believe after months of planning it’s over now!
