Products I Still Love and Use

products I still love

I’ve been blogging for…almost three and a half years now. In that time, I’ve discovered a lot of awesome beauty products that I’ve showcased here on my blog. As new products come into my life, it’s easy to forget about the old ones I was loving. But that doesn’t mean I’m not using them! Today I want to take a look back at some of the products I’ve been loving for a long time, and why they have gotten to stick around.

all time favorite make up

the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

I don’t think I’ll ever have to buy a new tin of the Mary-Lou Manizer, but I guess at some point I SHOULD replace it. A little goes a long way with this highlighter by The Balm, but it’s oh, so, gorgeous! I love to apply just a dab to the tops of my cheek bones to add some glow to the skin. I don’t wear it everyday, it’s a bit much for work, but it’s awesome for weekends and going out. Mary-Lou Manizer has stuck around because I love it so much I never felt a need to try something else!

Benefit Gimme Brow

The Benefit Gimme Brow is a more recent addition, but after the original blog post I did, I never really had a reason to bring it up! My brows are somewhere between thick and thin. I find most eyebrow products too complicated, too time consuming and too heavy looking on my brows. But just clear brow gel isn’t enough! The Gimme Brow is just PERFECT for my brows. A little swipe gives my brows some color and shape without looking overdone. There are a few similar products out there I’d like to try, but the dark brown shade of Gimme Brow is a perfect color match, makes me not want to try anything else!

holy grail items

NYX Glide On Eye Liner in Glitzy Gold

Remember in The Hunger Games, when Lenny Kravitz wears gold eye liner? Well that just looked way to cool for me to pass up. I didn’t want to spend a lot on something sort of trendy, so I picked up a gold liner from NYX. To my surprise, I’ve been using it a lot ever since. The NYX liner is creamy, but not too creamy that it’s hard to use. The gold shade is metallic and adds just enough to make an eye look interesting without looking crazy!

Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Blunt

Some more gold eye products…my all time favorite eye shadow ever, Urban Decay Blunt. I’ve had three pots of this, and will always repurchase. It goes with everything, always looks good, and the formula is so easy to use. The light gold is a bit more interesting than wearing no liner at all. Urban Decay shadows have a great consistency that is easy to blend but doesn’t crease. It’s my go to most days when I can’t be bothered to think!

holy grail make upRimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

When I first fell in love with the Rimmel Wake Me Up, I wasn’t sure what to do because you can’t get it in the states. Luckily I found it on Asos, and was able to repurchase! Every time I think I’m getting tired of it, I’ll stop using it for a few weeks, but then just fall back in love again! The coverage is medium but buildable, so it’s great for during the day or more formal events. It makes the skin glow and look so naturally healthy. I’ll definitely repurchase, but still want to try more foundations!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze

Once upon a time, all anyone talked about was the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I think we should talk about them again for a quick second. While some of them do tend to dry out, my pot of Bad to the Bronze is still going strong, and it’s still a favorite. It looks so pretty on its own, making it a great option for quick weekday mornings. I hope mine doesn’t dry out!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

One of my longest loved lip colors, Honey, from the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain line is the best go to lip color. It’s a pinky mauve that goes with everything. It also wears well so I can trust it throughout the day. They pack a lot of product into these tubes too, I’m amazed I haven’t run out. Every time I don’t know what lip color to wear, it seems to solve my problems. Always good to have a lip color around like that!

NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel

I change my mind a lot about whether I prefer lip gloss or lip stick. The NYX Butter Glosses are sure pulling their weight on the gloss side. They smell good, they come in awesome colors, they have the perfect amount of pigment…and are super affordable. My favorite is Apply Strudel, the perfect peachy gloss for spring!

Physican’s Formula Happy Booster Blush

I love products that are hassle free. This light pink blush from Physician’s Formula can be applied without much thought, a perfect go to. It’s just such an easy product to have on hand, I can’t imagine not having it. It’s very light, so it just adds a hint of color and glow to the cheeks making you look perky and healthy.

  1. There’s nothing like tried and trues. In fact, I’ve got a few in your list: CindyLou, the PS blush, and where did I put my NYX Apple Strudel?

  2. You just reminded me about the Revlon Just Bitten in Honey and Physicians Formula Happy Booster blush! I loved both of those when I got them but have forgotten about them over time… they’re around here somewhere!
I always have a CoverGirl LashBlash mascara around – I like testing new mascaras but I always go back to that, it’s amazing!

  3. I feel like if I were to sit down and write a post like this, a lot of these items would be on my list. Mary-Lou Manizer is amazing and the PF Happy Blush is one I used to use sooooo much!!! Oldies are always good in my book and sometimes it’s great to go back to them! PS I still swear by Just Bitten Lip Stain!

  4. I love those Physician’s Formula Mood/Happy Booster blushes and bronzers. I bought one just to look at LOL.

  5. I adore my Benefit Fine One One, it’s starting to finally get to the end of the tube so I may need to replace it. I also always reach for my It Cosmetics “Hello Lashes” mascara, my Kat Von D Black Tattoo liner and my Benefit Cream shadow in “Birthday Suit”.
