Worth It #4

expensive make up

There are a lot of expensive products out there, and I wish I could have them all! Sadly, I can’t afford most of them, but I do make a point to save up money to treat myself to nice products. Sometimes things that are more expensive really are worth the price tag. Also, sometimes they will actually last awhile, so it’s a lot of money up front, but you won’t need to repurchase. Today I’ve got four more products that I think are worth it!

luxury make up

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

I picked up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the shade Dim Light a few months ago with a gift card, so admittedly I didn’t pay for it. BUT that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it! I really thought it seemed like an unnecessary product, but after using it for a bit now, I’m really liking it. Instead of just setting foundation with powder, I’ll use this, and it adds a beautiful glow to the skin. For $45 a pop, it seems like a lot, but you don’t need a lot at a time and there is a lot of product in the pan!

By Terry Ombre Black Star

After seeing the Ombre Black Star eye shadow crayons, and especially the shade Misty Rock all over the internet, I knew I’d have to buy it one day. But $43? For an eye shadow crayon? No way. Well I bought it anyway, and it’s awesome. I love the purple shade because it is beautiful but wearable. It stays all day without budging. I’m planning to wear it for a wedding I’m in soon so I won’t have to worry about my make up!

Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask

A few years ago I discovered the world of self-tanning with the Sub Labs self tanner. I love being tan, but don’t want to be laying around in the sun all the time. I’ve been trying out some Vita Liberata products the past few months, and the Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask is by far my favorite. $45 is a lot for a mask, but a little goes a long way, and it really, really works. After doing my whole skincare routine, I apply a thin layer of the mask. In the morning I’m looking bright and glowy as well as hydrated. It’s great for in between self-tans.

StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner

The most expensive of the bunch, but probably my favorite…The StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner. This product has really improved my skin since I started using it. I have very noticeable pores on my cheeks, and very few things have ever done much for them. Since using the Pore Refiner, my pores have been looking clearer and less visible. I hope with continued use I see even better results.

      1. I’ve got bronze moon too and I love it! Such a good wearable shade but I still want another one, they have such a nice unique shade range!
