Today’s post is a make up review of Pur Cosmetics‘ latest beauty launch, the Fully Charged Mascara! This mascara claims to be powdered by Magnetic Technology. What does that mean? I’m not sure. But it sure sounds fancy, and with my annoying eyelashes, I’ll try anything! I’ve been enjoying what Pur has had to offer the past few months, it’s great to see the brand growing! Mascara can be tricky though, so let’s see if they figured this one out…
Opposites attract with this anti-aging mascara that has a magnetic polymer matrix that wraps a positively charged elastic veil around each lash to instantly lift, separate and define each lash for long-lasting performance.
So even with an actual description from Pur, I’m not sure I understand what they mean by magnetic, but, whatever, not really the point. With so many mascaras on the market, you honestly NEED to throw in some buzz words to get people to notice you.
The wand has a fiber head that isn’t too big or too small. I’m really happy with the size and shape of this actually. Sometimes companies make this wacky wands that just DON’T work! I have no problem getting the outer and inner corners. My lashes tend to clump a lot, and for the most part this does a good job separating them while also giving them a good coating.
I’ve had issues with A LOT of mascaras in the past, and while this isn’t perfect for me, it’s definitely not terrible!
My main problem is that I find the mascara to be heavy. My lashes do not stay curled at all, and pretty much fall flat with 10 minutes of application. I’m not annoyed though, because that happens with 90% of mascaras.
The formula is very black, so my lashes, while not curled, still look pretty and and full. I haven’t had any flaking, smudging or irritation. This really sticks to the lashes and stays all day long.
The Fully Charged Mascara may not be my favorite, but it’s worth checking out if you’re a mascara junky or looking for the blackest of black mascaras. For now, I’m going to go back to the Covergirl Lash Blast, it just works SO well for me!
