March Favorites 2016

march favorites

Happy April Fool’s Day kiddos! Pull any good pranks? I told my boyfriend I didn’t love him anymore and that I was running away to marry our cat. He didn’t buy it. Anyway, the first of the month means it’s favorites times! I must say, this is a good crop of favorites. I really, really love these products! I can’t wait for it to actually feel more like spring, although we’ve got a lot of rainy weather coming the next week. Ugh. April showers bring May flowers….

  loreal make up

I received a bunch of products from L’Oreal a few weeks ago, and here are my three favorites!

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss in Rouge Envy

I am proud of myself for getting rid of a lot of make up recently, but part of doing that was so I could fit my new favorite lip product into my lipstick holder. A matte gloss in the most beautiful raspberry red color…the L’Oreal Pro Matte Gloss in Rouge Envy has really out done itself. Super pigmented, long lasting color, that is actually comfortable! I’m super impressed with these, and need them all!

L’Oreal Infallible Matte-Matic Liner in Navy

I’ve always been a wearer of black liner and brown liner, but I have a new love, navy liner. I never thought it was something I needed or would even work with my coloring, but OMG I love it. It’s just a bit different but still neutral! The Matte-Matic liners from L’Oreal are super pigmented and set matte. I’m loving wearing all the colors, but the navy really stands out.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow in Little Beige Dress

The Colour Riche eye shadows come in a ton of colors, but for some reason my favorite is this neutral matte called Little Beige Dress. Some morning, the thought of fancy make up is such a turn off. Instead, I can sweep a little of this over the lid with a little liner and be on my merry way! It’s similar to my skin color, but just evens the area out and brightens it up.

the Balm How ‘Bout Them Apples Blush Palette

I’ve been dipping and dapping my way through the How ‘Bout Them Apples palette from The Balm. There are SIX colors, so you’ve kind of got everything you need! I love the formula, and I love all the shades. This is a great palette to have on hand since it’s thin, but has so much to offer. Even just looking at it makes me happy.

burts bees lipstick

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light

I finally bought myself the coveted Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, and after standing in Sephora for 20 minutes, decided on the shade Dim Light. I’m so happy to finally have this in my life. The soft, light powder, gives me skin a healthy glow. I usually apply it just to the high point of my face, but you really could use it all over, just don’t go overboard!

Burt’s Bees Lipstick in in Sunset Cruise

I had seen the new Burt’s Bees lipsticks around the blogosphere, and as a huge Burt’s Bees fan, I knew I’d have to track them down. I love the honeycomb packaging (which is recyclable!) It’s light weight, that may feel cheap, but I love knowing I can get rid of it ethically. I picked the color Sunset Cruise which is a coral. The formula is smooth and soft. I found it to be perfectly pigmented…not too intense, not too light. Definitely need more!

  1. Ooh I’ve been curious about the new Burt’s Bees Lipsticks. I am eyeing the shade Suede Splash. The tubes are so eye-catching too! It’s firmly on my wish list now. Happy April! 🙂

  2. You have some great picks from new stuff at the drugstore this month! I really want to get my hands on the L’Oreal Infalliable shadows but everytime I look the selection is always so picked over! Great favorites 🙂
