February Empties 2016

empty products

Ahh, my favorite time of the month. After hoarding trash in my bathroom for weeks, I can finally clear it out and make room for new trash! Yay trash! There were a few products I was hoping to finish this month that I didn’t get around too, but as long as I finish something I’m happy. Happy to have finished a few make up bits and samples! I keep telling myself to cut down on skincare but it’s just not happening. I did do a bit of a make up clear out after taking these pictures though, so I’ll do a separate post about that!

marula oil

Pacifica Purify Coconut Water Cleansing Wipes

I love make up removing wipes, which these actually aren’t. I guess I just assumed ‘cleansing’ meant make up removing? Well, these wipes from Pacifica have a light, barely there scent, and pretty moist. I like having wipes on hand, but don’t use them everyday. I used these mainly to remove swatches on my arms instead of on my face.

Roiel Cosmetics Marula Oil

I really got into facial oils the past two years or so. I find they can be quite beneficial, and are so easy to just slap on for hydration. This Marula Oil from Roiel was making a lot of appearances in my skin care routine for awhile. I stopped using it as often just because I was trying out other things. A few weeks ago I went to use it and ended up with some really bad break outs. After they cleared, I tested the oil to see if it would happen again. It did. I’m assuming it’s just gotten old, so bye!

natural deodorantCrystal Roll On Body Deodorant

I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect natural deodorant. After trying the Kiss My Face Unscented Roll On, I thought I’d try another affordable roll on. I think this one from Crystal did not work nearly as well on me, but it was the winter so it wasn’t too noticeable. I’ve since gone back to Kiss My Face since it’s pretty cheap, but want to try some more.

Everyone Bubble Bath in Yoga

I love sample sizes of bubble bath, partly just because I have a small amount of storage. I don’t take baths too often, so a big jug of bubble bath will just be sitting around awhile. Maybe once a month I take a bath. The scent of ‘Yoga’ from Everyone Bubble Bath was light and fresh, perfect for an easy bath. It bubbled a TON and didn’t leave any residue in my tub. Win!

benefit gimme brow

Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Chihuahua

Oh boy did I have this lip gloss a long time. Finally bit the bullet and said goodbye. There was barely any left anyway. I’m pretty sure Too Faced doesn’t make this lip gloss anymore, but I’m sure I can find something similar from another brand. The bright pink color was a favorite for the summer months. The gloss was super shiny and sticky, but lasted a long time on the lips.

L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

I’ve mentioned that I found a mascara that I love, and well, this wasn’t it. I haven’t tried too many L’Oreal mascaras, but I have definitely heard good things. This mascara was fine, but just didn’t stand out to me too much. It was good at separating, but didn’t hold a curl at all.

Benefit Gimme Brow

Already repurchased, the Benefit Gimme Brow is a life saver. I am not a fan of filling in brows really, and I do not have the time for it. I love how easy the Gimme Brow is, and gives just a bit of color to look more polished. I want to try other similar products, but the Gimme Brow works so well, I’m afraid to stop using it!

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl Highlighter

This little tube was from a Birchbox. I thought I’d be able to use it all up, but I just couldn’t. I don’t even like it that much, so it’s getting thrown out. I prefer powder highlighters. Less messy! The ‘Girl Meets Pearl’ highlighter was a nice color, not too pink or gold. Not even too shimmery. I just think the Mary Lou-Manizer is too good!

  1. I actually still have a glamour gloss too – Its almost gone and I was so sad when I went to see if they still had them (and they dont). Its such a great gloss!!

  2. I love to read empties posts because there are gems of info in a short space. I love Cindy Lou Manizer so I can understand why you love Mary Lou. But I also like cream highlighters, although last week I applied some to my nose with my finger without using a brush or beauty blender to blend it, and I had an embarrassing shimmery stripe down my nose. My bad. That can’t happen with powder.

  3. I love Girl Meets Pearl! I’m also more partial to more subtle, liquid highlighters, though. I’ve never tried the Balm’s Mary Loumanizer, but it’s on the top of my to-try list! I really liked the Elizabeth Mott tinted brow gel I received in an Ipsy bag, so I definitely want to try the Gimmie Brow to see how they compare.
