February Favorites 2016

julep debra

It’s March! Which means spring is on its way! I am so so happy we had a mild winter, and am hoping the spring will bring lots of sunshine. I went on a bit of a spending spree the last few weeks, so I really need to keep my credit card in check for March. February was pretty average, except for the whole having a cat now thing. This months favorites are pretty average as well. A few new bits and a few rediscovered old ones!

Vita Liberata Fabulous Self Tanning Gradual Lotion

I just posted a full review of this product on Monday, but it’s one of my favorites so I have to mention it here! To get a little bit of a glow this winter I’ve been using the Vita Liberata Gradual Tanning Lotion. Similar to Jergen’s Natural Glow, it gives a subtle bit of color that can be built up. It prevents me from looking too pale and is so easy to use.

Andalou Naturals Deep Wrinkle Dermal Filler

A few weeks ago I did a post on some anti-aging skincare I’d been using. Probably my favorite of the bunch is the Andalou Naturals Dermal Filler that I’ve been using for about 2 months now. Every other day or so I apply a little to my forehead and around my eyes. It’s helping keep my skin taught without being too harsh.

Physicians Formula Mood Boosting Blush in Natural

I was going to get rid of this blush because I’ve had it for awhile, but I started using it again instead…I love the light pink color with just a hint of shimmer. It’s so easy to sweep on and goes with every make up look. I’m going to try and get more use out of it before getting rid of it.

Julep Nail Polish in Debra

I really need to do a nail polish clean out, but I love them all too much! The shade Debra from Julep is an opaque mushroomy color, a great neutral. I noticed it was about half way done, so I picked it for a manicure to see if I can use it up soon.

By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock

Another new product for me, the beautiful cream eye shadow that is the By Terry Ombre Blackstar. I went with the shade Misty Rock because I love purple eyes, and I am so in love! It applies so creamy but dries down and doesn’t crease. It’s got some sparkle, but I must say, I love sparkly eyes!

Lancome Color Design in Pale Lip

It’s weird how you can not like a lip color and then one day just totally change your mind. That’s what happened with me and Pale Lip by Lancome. At first I thought it was too pale and nude, but lately I’ve been loving nude lips! The color is great for when I’ve got a more dramatic eye going on. Also the Color Design formula is really long lasting!

  1. Nice picks! Thank you for mentioning the Andalou Naturals Deep Wrinkle Filler. It sounds like something I need to try. And I need to dig out my Physician’s Formula Mood Boosting Blush – I’ve got it in Warm. It’s so cute!

  2. That Color Design lippie looks so pretty and wearable. I have a couple of other shades in the range. IMO, the Color Design range does not get as much love as it should.

  3. I have a giant Julep horde so I’m not sure if I’ll ever finish a bottle. Debra is a really pretty neutral that I think would work well under fun topcoats (like Julep’s Max).
