The other week I turned 25. I know, I know, I’m still quite young, but guess what, my skin doesn’t know that! I can already see how my skin is starting to change as I get older so I want to start taking more step to take care of it! I always told myself I’d start getting more into anti-aging products when I hit 25. Well, look at that. I’m 25 now. I’ve put together a few products that I think make a good starter kit. Nothing too intense or crazy, just a few products to keep me looking 25 as long as possible.
Derma E Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Creme SPF 15 (Full Review)
I think the first step in anti-aging is SPF! For awhile now I’ve always used a day cream with SPF in it. I find this a lot easier than using two different products in the morning. Right now I’m using the Derma E Evenly Radiant Day Cream which has SPF 15. 15 is pretty low if you actually live in a sunny climate or are going to be outside. For the summer I’ll find something with higher SPF. Sun can do a lot of damage to skin, but it isn’t always apparent right away. Hopefully long term SPF use will have long term results.
Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream (Full Review)
Keeping skin hydrated is important in helping it look young and smooth. This light weight cream from Reviva Labs is packed with skin loving ingredients. It’s not one of those super intense anti-aging creams though, so it’s perfect for me to start out with. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a super anti-free radical agent, Vitamin C battles past damage and DMAE adds firming benefits. It’s three great ingredients in one jar! When I’m older I’ll use something with a bit more kick, but for now this is all I need.
Maple Holisitcs Vitamin C Anti Aging Serum (Full Review)
Vitamin C is one of my favorite skincare ingredients because it brightens skin and help fight damage. I don’t really have much skin damage, but if I do get a pimple my skin scars easily. This serum from Maple Holisitcs is light weight and packed with Vitamin C. I layer this under moisturizer and don’t feel like it’s too heavy ever. Most products I use have Vitamin C in them, but this is more concentrated. I use it a few times a week, more often if I have spot I’m trying to heal.
Andalou Naturals Deep Wrinkle Dermal Filler
This is a new product in my medicine cabinet, and I’m so happy I made the purchase. I’ve tried a lot of products from the Clarifying and Brightening lines from Andalou, but this is my first from the Age Defying range. The Dermal Filler is supposed to be applied to wrinkles to help plump them up. I got this because I was noticed the lines on my forehead a lot. When I use this, I can actually feel that the skin on my forehead has tightened, and the wrinkles are definitely less visible. This product is definitely going to be something I use for a long time since I’ve noticed results so quickly.
StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner (Full Review)
I’ve been using this awesome product from StriVectin for my pores, but it also has anti-aging benefits because it contains Retinol. Retinol is found in a lot of anti-aging products, but I’ve really been loving the results I’m seeing with this one. The pores on my cheeks are much less visible, and I saw those results quickly. I think long term use of this product will also be beneficial in preventing wrinkles.
