I’ve got 2015 favorites coming up soon, but first I wanted to give December its own favorites and empties post, to keep things organized. December actually ended up being a really great favorites month which is a great way to end the year. December flew by, but luckily it was oddly warm and I didn’t have to pull out the big guns in the hydration department. But now it’s January and it’s freezing.
StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner (Full Review)
I knew almost instantly this StriVectin product would be going in my December Favorites. I fell in love with it the first time I used it, and have been using it regularly all month. I apply after moisturizer 3-4 nights a week. I’ve noticed my pores appearing smaller, which I never thought would happen!
Julep What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk (Full Review)
Another product I fell for quickly was this oil infused milk from Julep. While it hasn’t been super cold yet, my skin is definitely starting to dry out from the heat in my apartment. A little dab of this milk a few times a week has been keeping my skin flake free.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
I hadn’t used a setting spray in forever, but knew I’d need something like it for the wedding I went to in November. I’ve been using it periodically all month, and have realized how much I missed setting sprays! On light make up days, I don’t really bother, but if I’m wearing a full look, I like to set it in place.
Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara (waterproof)
It’s actually rare I really love a mascara enough to put in a favorites. I asked for some advice on a waterproof drugstore mascara that would give me false looking lashes, and got a lot of suggestions for the ‘orange tube’ Covergirl mascara. It gives me super full looking lashes that last almost all day. I can’t believe my lashes could look like this!
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Top Coat
I’ve purchased countless bottles of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry top coat over the years, and I’ve officially decided I’m never using another one. For a few months I was using a different Sally Hansen top coat, and my nails were looking terrible! This top coat dries in minutes, and my manicures last over a week (although I usually change them before that point!).
