I’ve been thinking about the resolutions I want to make for 2016 for awhile now. In the past, I’ve done an okay job of actually keeping up with my resolutions. I like setting them because it helps me keep on track to actually change the things I want to change. Some are more important than others, some are easier than others, but this list is all things that I think will benefit me. I included some pictures of good moments from 2015 as well, I love looking back! Do you have any resolutions?
1. Just keep blogging, just keep blogging.
I’m thinking about creating a separate blogging resolutions list, because I have a few goals in that department. For now, the main goal is to just keep blogging. I am constantly seeing my numbers go up, at a small pace, but up. I’ve worked with more brands, and met more people. I want to keep doing what I’m doing, and try to make this thing even better.
2. Find another hobby.
Once upon a time, I thought of blogging as my hobby. Now that I’m on a regular posting scheduling and working with brands, it doesn’t feel as much like a hobby for when I have some free time. Which is fine, I just don’t know what hobby to have! Knitting? Yoga? What are your hobbies?!
3. Buy myself some nice things.
I’ve got lists on lists of things I want. Make up, skincare, home decor, clothes…the lists are long. I want to make a point this year to not waste my money on cheap, cute things, and instead save up to buy myself some nicer thing that I really want. Along with this, I have a few items that I really need to buy updates of, and I want them to last a long time. I really need a new wallet, winter coat, purse….
4. Read more non fiction.
I reached my reading goal this year, and loved a lot of the books I read. In 2016 I want to try reading more nonfiction books. I love learning about new things, and I think reading a few more nonfiction books every year will really help expand my knowledge and interests! I love books on agriculture and the food industry but I want to learn some other things too.
5. Walk more.
I don’t have a lot of opportunity to get a lot of steps in during the week. At work, I barely move, and the bus isn’t too far away. I want to make a point to go for a walk during lunch, walk an extra block to the bus, and walk more on the weekends. It might be a little hard in the winter, but hopefully come spring I’ll be able to walk a lot!
6. Go more places.
It is easy to get stuck in a rut, and I think I may be in one. On the weekends its so easy to get lazy, and during the week all I want to do is put my pajamas on. I’m hoping in 2016 the boyfriend and I will be explore more places. Whether it is restaurants, museums, or neighborhoods, I want to see more places! Plus, we have a car, so it’s not like it’d be hard!
So that’s kind of a lot of resolutions, and I’m sure I’ll completely forget about a few of them, but I’m writing them here you can all yell at me when I don’t follow them!
