Sometimes products stay on my wish list for way too long. It’s takes quite some time to finish a product up, and I don’t have the luxury of space to store a large amount of items. In a dream world I’d have 5 different night creams to choose from at all times, but instead I’m always working one at a time. One night cream….one day cream…one cleanser. It makes the life of a beauty blogger difficult, because all I want to do is try new things! The Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester and DMAE Cream was on my wish list for…2 years? Then by some beauty miracle I found it at Marshall’s when I was starting to run out of my moisturizer!
I had heard about the Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid cream around the blogosphere, and added it to my list on Vitacost.com for a future purchase. Lucky for me I stumbled upon it at Marshall’s while looking through their beauty department.
Now that I finished my beloved Michael Todd Citrus Cream Moisturizer (already repurchased actually) I’m on to try something a little different for the winter season. I tend to get very dry skin, but prefer hydrating serums and oils that I can combine with a lighter, every day night cream. This cream ‘treats past damage and fights future skin damage’ with Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester and DMAE. DMAE lifts and tightens skin while ALA and Vitamin C fight damage. You can get much more detailed info of these ingredients on the Reviva Labs website, no need for me to just copy and paste.
The product comes in a plastic jar that is easily stackable with my other moisturizers, meaning I save space in my medicine cabinet. It’s a light weight, white cream that blends into the skin super quick. Since I’m usually layering up other products, I like that this doesn’t take forever to sink in, or I can easily apply two layers for extra hydration.
In a moisturizer, I’m really just looking for something that will keep my skin hydrated, and preferably have a few skin benefits as well. I like that this product works to treat past and future damage, so really any age can use it. I’m only 24 (not for long) but am looking to start using some anti aging products to prevent damage. I think this cream will be great for keeping my skin overall healthy and elastic to hopefully prevent aging!
Since I don’t really have much past damage, it’s hard to say if it really is working. As a night time moisturizer though I know I am loving it. My skin has been looking hydrated and plump. I also love that it’s a natural company and the product is full of lots of great ingredients rather than fillers. I’d be really interested to know if someone older has tried this, and if they saw any difference!
Edit: Just found out Reviva Labs is based super close to me in NJ! Awesome!
