November Favorites 2015

november favorites

Between a super busy weekend, 2 rainy days in a row, and it being dark by 4:30, I’ve had a hard time getting picture taking in! Well it was finally sunny and I managed to snap some pics before I left for work at 8am. And with that, we have November favorites! It’s all make up this month, no new skincare I’m ready to consider a favorite yet. But this is a good crop of products I’m very happy about!

L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

I find it hard to decide how I feel about a mascara, it always takes me a few months. I picked this L’Oreal one up in September per a recommendation, and finally decided how I felt. Well obviously I like it because it’s in my favorites! It’s not my favorite mascara ever, but it gets the job done on my lazy, barely any make up work days. The thin, long wand separates lashes and lengthens the perfect amount for a casual look. It comes off easily and doesn’t flake at all!

Butter London Eye Shadow in Sapphire

For the wedding I went to last weekend, I brought out the Butter London Moody Blues duo. While I used both shades, my real favorite here is the deeper shade, Sapphire. To apply, I got my brush wet so it was super pigmented. While it was a little messy and took a lot of blending, I was really happy with how it looked. Who knows when I’ll wear it again though, it’s very, very blue!

Revlon HD Ultra Matte Lip Color in Devotion

I picked up this new product from Revlon on a whim and have been oh so happy with my decision. The shade Devotion is a super saturated pink with a peachy, nude undertone, making it a fun, but wearable shade. The Ultra Matte Lipcolor line is a creamy, matte product that doesn’t dry down completely, but lasts for quite a few hours. I want to try another shade, but they are always sold out!

L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Heavenly Berry

My mom is always taking a new drugstore lip product out of her purse every time I see her. She had picked up one of the L’Oreal Colour Riche Balms, and I loved how it looked on her. Shades I can slap on without much thought are always great to have around, especially on the weekends. I picked up the shade Heavenly Berry because I was in need of a new fall shade. I love how easy to wear it is both in color and formula.

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation

I’ve been loving the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder ever since I bought it, it’s just so easy to use and makes skin look great. I’m nearing the end of this jar, so I’ve been making a point to use it a lot this month. If my skin is looking bad, it’s not the best to use, but for most days, it’s quick and easy and looks great. I love how natural the skin looks, and it feels so light.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation

The opposite end of the foundation spectrum…the Revlon Colorstay foundation is my go to when I need my make up to last. I wore this three days in a row over the long Thanksgiving weekend. I wore it for 10 hours, then 8 hours, then 11 hours, and every day I was so happy with how it was still looking when it was time to take it off. It’s definitely not an everyday thing for me, but I know I can trust it when I need it to work!
