Derma E Evenly Radiant Day Creme

A few months ago I tried my first Derma E product, the Tea Tree and E Antiseptic Creme. I was instantly in love, and knew Derma E would be a brand I’d have to start experimenting with, especially considering my love of skin care (and NATURAL skincare). I was running out of my day time SPF moisturizer, and realized it was the perfect time to try something else from Derma E. I went with the Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Creme on the recommendation of With Kendra. Read on to see how I felt about it!

I love using a daily AM moisturizer with SPF because it makes my skin routine quicker, and I don’t have to worry about remembering SPF everyday. I also love brightening products to keep my complexion looking healthy. The Evenly Radiant Day Creme does both the things I look for in a daily moisturizer, while keeping my skin hydrated all day long.

I tend to have oily skin in the summer and super dry skin in the winter. So far it hasn’t gotten too cold, but I think there is plenty of hydration in this product to keep me flake free though the coldest days of the winter (which hopefully won’t be TOO cold).

The Derma E Day Creme comes in a 2 oz glass jar with a plastic lid. The Tea Tree Creme came in a plastic jar, so I was surprised to see this. The glass feels sturdy, and doesn’t take up too much room in my medicine cabinet.

I’ve been using this creme for about 3 weeks now, and while I’m not as head over heels as I was with the Tea Tree, I’m definitely loving it, and am still excited to try more Derma E products.

When it comes to moisturizing, the creme is working great. I haven’t noticed any flaky skin appearing as the weather has cooled down. I’m not really in the sun much now that my lunch breaks are indoors, but I do like to wear SPF everyday as age prevention in case I do end up in the sun!

My drawback to the product is the consistency and how it feels on my skin right after application. It’s…sticky. The first day I used it, I immediately noticed it on my skin and that it felt tacky. The product is more noticeable on the skin compared to other creams I’ve used.

Once it sinks in a bit (most days I’m applying my skincare about 15 minutes before my make up) I don’t notice it as much. If I don’t apply make up I notice it a little longer. Under make up though it is great. It’s not greasy at all so my make up looks great all day long.

Once I finish this I’ll probably try something new, but it will probably be the Derma E Age-Defying day creme that has SPF 15. There is so much skincare out there, that not repurchasing doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just means I’d like to try one of the other millions of things on the market.

For now, this is getting the job done and is using some really good ingredients to do it. Have you tried this cream or anything else from Derma E? What should I try next? I’m thinking the purifying line…

You can order Derma E products on Vitacost and get $10 off your first order of $30.

  1. I am expecting to try out one of the derma e eye creams, and that will be my first experience with the brand. Psyched to try it because I always look at derma e when I’m at Ulta. I don’t think I’d love the day cream as you describe it. Often moisturizers with SPF, especially creams in jars, can be sticky and/or thick. Oh well, derma e has a big product line with plenty of other products to try!

  2. I use the overnight peel weekly, defiantly worth trying!! I also use the purifying charcoal cleanser and mask! I’ll have a review of those products in the next few weeks 🙂

  3. I haven’t tried Derma E products before but I recently discovered that we’re supposed to wear SPF in any weather, rain, snow or shine, so this would be a very good option for colder months.
