At one point this month I thought I was going to have my biggest empties ever…but not, it’s just another average month. I have a few bits I’m almost out of, so maybe November will be a big month? I’ve been finishing about 5 products every month without having to try too hard. I’m still not doing too well on finishing make up, but I did finish a few this month, so there is something to be proud of!
Burt’s Bees Fabulously Fresh Peppermint and Rosemary Body Wash
Not the most exciting thing to report on, but you’ll be happy to know I wash myself. I love the smell of peppermint, especially in a body wash. This Burt’s Bees one is more hydrating than Dr. Bronner’s, but I prefer the more intense scent of Dr. Bronner’s. I love Burt’s Bees and will probably repurchase when I see it at Target. Instead, I’m using the Giovanni Grapefruit body wash right now.
Andalou Naturals Oil Control Beauty Balm (Full Review)
During the summer my skin gets much more oily, and this day cream with SPF 30 was the perfect morning moisturizer. It’s one of those very white creams, but it sank into the skin quickly and looked great under make up. It kept my summery oily skin at bay. I finished it at the perfect time because it isn’t hydrating enough for the winter. I just started using a new Derma E morning moisturizer, so keep and eye out for a review.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Classic Wine
Admittedly, there is the tiniest nub of this lipstick yet, but in my efforts to finish it, I got really tired of it. I bought this L’Oreal lipstick before my love/obsession with make up really started, hence why I was actually able to finish it up. The shade is a very wearable, everyday, muted red. These days I’m feeling the mauve shades more, so I probably won’t repurchase.
Chanel Chance Perfume Sample
I know I want to get a Chanel perfume soon, but I can’t decide on a scent! I like the scent of Chance, but it just isn’t perfect, and I need something perfect. Loved having this little sample to test it out though, it really helped me decide it wasn’t the one for me.
Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask Sample
In a recent order from Nordstrom I got to pick 3 samples to try. I’ve never tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury, so I thought the sample of the Goddess Skin Mask would be a great one to try. This sells for $70 a tube…that’s ridiculous, especially since it didn’t really do much for me! It is very creamy to apply, and feels great on, but after washing off I didn’t notice any kind of difference. I think there are more interesting options for less money. Plus it smelled like fake roses.
Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara (Full Review)
I’ve decided the perfect mascara doesn’t exist, but the Super Sizer mascara came pretty close. The wand did an amazing job separating my lashes, and only started clumping when we reached the 4 month mark and it was time to go anyway. The formula was a bit wet and took some time to dry, which was the worst when I had a cold and kept sneezing after application. I would purchase again, but wish it held a curl better. My lashes are impossible to curl!
Covergirl Intensify Me Eye Liner (Full Review)
It’s just a coincidence both of these Covergirl products are in the same empties post. I am saying goodbye to this one because it seems to have gotten dry, and I wasn’t really liking it much anyway. The paddle shaped tip was awesome at first, but I have trouble getting the product to come out. It’s also a bit stiff for the gentle eye area. I prefer the Stila liquid liner, which after almost 2 years still hasn’t dried up.
