October Favorites 2015

monthly favorites

And just like that….it’s November. The months have been going by so fast, I just can’t keep up. My goals for November are to cook some more crock pot meals, start my Christmas shopping, and eat more salads. Exciting. I had a list going of October Favorites in my phone, but when it came to actually picking what my favorites were, I realized I wasn’t feeling super excited about too many of them. But alas, I was able to pull a few things together I really did love this month.

Garnier Fructis Texture Tease (Full Review)

I’m on a never ending path to the perfect hair care routine. I think I’ve got the perfect shampoo & conditioner, and I’m loving my current curling cream, but sometimes I just need more to get my hair to cooperate. I played around with the Garnier Fructis Texture Tease this month, and am really loving what it can do for my hair on days it’s looking poofy. The spray gives my hair something to hold onto so it is a bit more tame. I love this mostly for straight hair, but it can work in my curls too!

Vita Liberata Self Tanning Moisture Mask (Full Review)

Last year my saving grace was the Origins Drink Up overnight mask, but this year I’m doing one better. Vita Liberata hit the nail on the head with this one. A moisturizing overnight mask that ALSO gives the skin a hint of color for a year long glow. I’ve been using this about twice a week for over a month now, and my skin never looks dull! Overnight my skin drink up the moisture so I don’t have flaky skin. I also find it to be much less sticky than the Origins which is great for my pillows.

An oldie but a goodie. Chanel Peridot is a forever favorite for me, but when I brought it out for a manicure earlier this month and I was reminded of its beauty. This gold, green, a little blue, maybe brown duochrome shade is just perfect for early fall. The formula goes on so smooth and effortlessly. I get lots of compliments with this shade! For something more affordable, try OPI Just Spotted the Lizard.

Essie Butler Please Nail Polish (Picture of Manicure)

There is just something about a bright, royal blue nail…Essie’s shade Butler Please is one of my favorite colors as well. It’s just SO blue! This is one of those shades where I stare at my nails all day long, and never want to take off. It’s a fun alternative to fall shades, and works great in the winter too.

Red Apple Lipstick in Sweet Pea (Full Review)

I kept finding myself reaching for Sweet Pea from Red Apple Lipstick this month. Its the perfect transitional season shade because it’s a bit peachy, but with brown undertones. The formula is quite matte, and really sticks to the lips for lasting color but isn’t too drying.

I’m already planning out my next few manicures, and have two new skincare products in the works. Here’s to hoping some November favorites are already in the making!

  1. That Essie Nail Polish Butler Please is gorgeous!! I feel like that lipstick looks so familiar that I either have it or I’ve see someone else talk about it as well! It’s crazy to me that we’re already in November!!! I totally forgot about my favorites haha!!

  2. My friend is testing out that texturizing spray for me, hopefully she loves it too! I have that Vita Liberata mask but I’ve been too scared to try it lol!
