Skincare Bits I’m Loving

favorite skin care

I love make up, but I think my true love lies in skin care. I think it’s amazing what products can do for your skin, and also how they can hurt it as well! I’ve tried a lot of new skin care in the last year or so, but I think some of the bits could use a little extra Plastic Bows love. I use these products constantly, and am really happy with my current routine. For the most part my skin has been looking really great which is such a treat for when I don’t feel like wearing make up!

Andalou Naturals enlighten serum

Andalou Naturals Turmeric + C Enlighten Serum FULL REVIEW!

I’ll be the firs to admit, I have my lazy skin care days. Those days I just wash my face and moisturize. I try my best to use a serum everyday because they can add so much to a routine. These days I’m reaching for the Andalou Naturals Enlighten Serum. I’ve had great luck with Andalou products and this is no exception. It’s light weight so it sinks into the skin without feeling tacky. Turmeric and C are great for brightening skin and evening skin tone.

michael todd organics blue green algae toner

Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Toner

I’ve got a few toners floating around, but this one from Michael Todd is the most helpful for the days I need it. On a good skin today I just reach for my Andalou one, but on bad skin days I need a little help. The Blue Green Algae toner is antibacterial, meaning it’s great at fighting and preventing acne. It’s a bit harsh for everyday for me, but if my skin is acting up I’ll use it. Red spots are always reduced the next day, and gone within a few more.

avalon organics enzyme scrub

Avalon Organics Lavender Luminosity Enzyme Scrub FULL REVIEW!

I’m big into exfoliating these days. I’ve always got clogged pores around my nose, and so I’ve been scrubbing at them more than usual to get things cleared out. One big reason I love this scrub from Avalon is the smell, LAVENDER! Everything should smell like lavender. It’s quite scrubby, so not for those with super sensitive skin. I scrub my chin and nose the most, and a little around the rest of the face to get rid of dead skin. Even though it’s very scrubby my skin never feels irritated. Also, the bottle is quite large which is good for those who don’t like buying things too often!

giovanni d tox mask

Giovanni D:tox System Purifying Facial Mask FULL REVIEW!

I’ve got a lot of masks on my shelf these days, but the newest one I’m obsessed with is from Giovanni. The purifying mask draws out all the toxins from my skin while antioxidants keep it healthy. I use this mask once a week or so, depending on how my skin is doing. It washes off easily for a clay mask, and has been a lifesaver when I’ve had bad spots. My boyfriend likes it too!

jeffrey james the eye gel

Jeffrey James The Eye Gel FULL REVIEW!

For years I’ve had little white dots around my eyes, known as milia. I didn’t want to go to a dermatologist to deal with it especially since it wasn’t that bad. Milia are pretty much dead skin cells trapped under the skins surface. I read that they could be the result of using to heavy of an eye cream. I switched to a gel formula, and well….they disappeared! I only have one little on left. The gel formula of this Jeffrey James eye cream is light on the eyes but still full of great benefits.

skin care i love

It’s so great having products I look forward to using, but I’m not stopping here! I’m always looking for new skin care to love so if you’ve got something I NEED to try, let me know!

  1. Every single one of those products sounds like something I would absolutely love. I also get milia from time to time and my aesthetician told me to switch to a gel eye cream too.

  2. I love reading skincare routines! That turmeric & vitamin c serum sounds really nice & I also tend to gravitate towards natural products.
