June Favorites 2015

june favorites

And just like that, we’re at the end of another month. Time flies entirely too fast. Half way through the year, and all I can think about it how tired I am right now…Tired or not, I’ve always got favorites to talk about. This month I ended up wearing a lot of the same old stuff I always do, but there are still a few things I thought I could give a mention!

Revive Make Up Blending Sponge

I work a few blocks from a Marshall’s so sometimes before or after work I pop in and see whats new. I LOVE Marshall’s and TJ Maxx. In the beauty section I found a bunch of make up sponges that looked just like the Beauty Blender but for $6. I decided to take a risk and try one out, and it actually works SO WELL! When wet it becomes very soft and bouncy. I like the effect the sponge gives as opposed to a brush.

Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara (Review)

I’ve been using two mascaras on and off this month. One is waterproof, one is not. The Covergirl Super Sizer mascara is not waterproof, so it is my go to for days when I know I don’t want to deal with getting my mascara off. (All the time?) It separates my lashes super well and lengthens them. It doesn’t hold a curl too well, but it’s easy to get off!!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Cherry (Review)

One day I was wearing an outfit that was just calling for a red lip. But I was going to be out and about all day and really didn’t want to deal with the hassle of a red lip. Thank god I remembered the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Cherry. It was perfect! The formula is easy to apply and wears off evenly. The Cherry shade is very red my maintenance free!

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser (Review)

I started using the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser as my morning cleanser this month. I love how it makes my skin feel very clean but not stripped. I think I’ll change it to my night time cleanser because I think it will do a good job getting any extra make up off.

ruby wings nail polish

Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish in Golden (On my nails)

Early in June I did a manicure I really loved. White with gold dots, very Kate Spade I thought. For the gold I used Revlon Golden. It’s a darker gold, and not super metallic. It’s an easy to wear color that also looked great on my toes for summer!

Ruby Wings Color Changing Nail Polish in Kitten Heels (On my nails)

This is a fun one. This nail polish is the most bright pink I’ve ever seen, but I love it. Really only feel like wearing this one once a year. The coolest part? In the sun it turns more of a neon orange! It got very hot in June and neon just seemed fitting.

  1. I got my “beauty blender” from Avon and I must say they are pretty amazing. I’ve used mine for everything and I’m fully in love with it! Also the Ruby Wings nail polish seems pretty awesome!x

  2. I always enjoy posts about favorites and hauls. Your post is no exception since I’m always looking for something new. As if, I don’t have enough already… I want to try the cleanser from first aid beauty, but I am on a Sephora restriction right now because I am saving for Black Friday. Major damage coming on that day. Enjoyed. Oh great pics too.

  3. Happy to see my favorite CG The Super Size Mascara on your favorites list! I love it. And I guess I’ve been lucky that if I curl my lashes and apply, it holds the curl quite well tho it doesn’t curl them on its own

    1. I wasn’t so sure of it at first, but I’ve started liking it more and more every time I use it. Nothing keeps my lashes curled except really hard to get off mascara. Super curly hair, super straight lashes!

    1. I am totall commited to my brushes too. I decided to use the sponge for certain application, quick fixes, or extra blending. Its also great for when you’re going to be on the go! Brushes can sometimes be a hassle for me to travel with. LOL

  4. I love Fresh lip balms…I will definitely need these when Fall comes!
