As if the 98 degree day earlier this week wasn’t reminder enough, IT’S SUMMER!! It’s weird being an adult and the summer just meaning it’s warm out. I’ve still got work to do, places to be, and not a vacation to get too. I’m trying to make the most of my summer with beer gardens, playing in the park, and of course, summery make up! I’ve brought out my glittery shadows, pink lips and darker bronzers, all in the name of summer.
NARS Orgasm and Laguna Duo (Review)
I can’t believe I haven’t hit pan on this yet. This lovely duo from NARS holds their two most famous powders, Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer. I love this duo because I really don’t need a full size of either of them, and I love how they look together. Laguna is just dark enough to give some more glow to my tanned skin. Orgasm is the most flattering shade and really make a summer tan pop with just a hint of shimmer.
NYX Blush in Bourgeois Pig (Review)
Sometimes I want a blush with a little more color. NYX Bourgeois Pig is a bright, matte pink. There is just something about this color that is amazing. I opt for this if I’ve got a shimmery eye and want a more matte face.
Glo Minerals Face Primer (Full Review)
It’s summer, so it’s hot and muggy and make does not like that. A primer is definitely necessary most days. If I’m just going to work, I may skip it, but if it’s really hot, I need it. I’ve been using the Glo Minerals primer the past few weeks and it’s perfect. It keeps my make up in place but doesn’t feel heavy on my skin in the muggy weather.
Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop
I love a bright pink lip in the summer time. It’s the only time I really feel comfortable wearing something that eye catching. The first lip butter I ever purchased was Lollipop, and it’s still going strong! I love the formula of the lip butters, and the shade lollipop is just bright enough for something fun.
L’Oreal Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Coral Tattoo (Full Review)
A different formula I really love is the L’Oreal Caresse Wet Shine Stains. The shade Coral Tattoo is a bright pinky coral that also only really makes sense in the summer time. The Wet Shine Stains are sticky, but that means they stay in place in the summer heat.
Ginger and Liz Swagger Nail Polish (Shimmer color used in manicure)
Summer is the perfect time for some sparkle and shine. The shade Swagger from Ginger + Liz is the most amazing shade. The shade is a pinky gold, or is it silver? I love how it’s not really glitter, it’s just an overall amazing metallic. It’s the best way to wear a nude shade in the summer.
Zoya Shelby Nail Polish (Pink shown here)
For some color, Zoya Shelby is the perfect bright, but not too bright color. It’s a creme bright pink that makes your tan look AMAZING. It’s my absolute favorite for toes.
Stila Kitten Eye Shadow (Review)
I find in the winter I’m too cold and sad to wear much sparkle, but in the summer I really love Stila Kitten. This cult classic shade is a rosey gold almost metallic color. A light application is an easy everyday color, but a heavier application really packs the glittery punch.
NYX Glide On Eyeliner in Glitzy Gold (Review)
For quick make up, I like a plain eye with this gold liner. The NYX liners are creamy, but not too creamy that it’s hard to apply. The shade glitzy gold is very metallic. It’s a bit of a statement, but isn’t too out there that you’ll feel self conscious all day.

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far, and that it’s filled with lots of sunshine and pink lipstick!
