Burt’s Bees Brightening Eye Treatment

Today I’ve got some skincare for ya! I took a little break from eye cream to see what would happen, and well, nothing really did. I noticed some of the milia around my eyes decreased a bit, but it is still definitely there. I’m only 24, so my eye cream usage is just to keep the area hydrated and healthy. In a few years I’ll use something specifically for anti-aging. I’ve been really into Burt’s Bees lately, so I thought I’d pick up an eye cream from the brand. The ingredients seemed pretty good, and it was much cheaper than the chemical filled, twice as expensive options from Sephora.

I watched a documentary about Burt from Burt’s Bees and it reminded me how much I love the brand. They had a few eye creams to choose from, but I went with the Brightening option because I want to look fresh and awake all the time!

I guess the main ‘brightening’ element here is Daisy Extract, which is apparently a natural skin brightening agent.

The product is also supposed to reduce the appearance of puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles.

Funny tube, right? I wanted to pick an eye cream in a tube, since I find that a little easier than a jar. Burt’s Bees offers a few different eye creams, some come in jars, some come in tubes. It’s easy to control the amount of product that comes out. I just squeeze a bit onto my ring finger and pat in under the eyes.

I try to remember to use this product AM and PM, but let’s be real, sometimes I skip a few steps. I am using an eye cream to just keep the area hydrated and prevent premature wrinkling. I don’t have very dark circles, but I also want to prevent them.

I have had no problem with stinging, which is a surprise for me and my sensitive eyes. Another eye problem for me is the cream being too heavy. This is very light weight but still hydrating. As I mentioned, I have seen a decrease in milia around my eyes, now that I’m not using anything heavy.

I’ve been using the Burt’s Bees Brightening Eye Treatment for about 3 weeks now. I haven’t had any issues, but I also haven’t seen any kind of difference. I didn’t really expect to see a difference though. My goal is that this keeps my eye area healthy, and it seems to be doing that!

If you’re in the market for just a simple, every day eye cream, this is a great option. Its got good ingredients, is a great price, and isn’t harsh. I’ll continue using this, and want to try other Burt’s Bees eye products!

What’s your favorite eye cream?!

  1. I haven’t tried this one yet, but in addition to Lindi Skincare Eye Hydrator that I use in my crease and on my red eyelids, I use Olay Regenerist Dark Shadows eye cream under my eyes and it is a definite brightener. It helps my dark shadow appear less obvious

  2. Ugh, I have stupid milia too (since grade 7…. so unfair, haha) and nothing I do seems to get rid of them! I think I have got less since I have been more picky about what face creams I’m using… but I wish they’d all just disappear!

  3. Thanks for the review. I like the more natural ingredients but it sounds like is doesn’t brighten under the eyes which is what I would prefer.

  4. I’ve been curious about this one — maybe I’ll try it next! Right now I’m using and loving the eye cream from The Body Shop’s Nutriganics range.
