May Favorites 2015

may favorites And here we are with May Favorites. A great time of the month. I always love seeing people’s favorites posts because they usually have new products they fell in love with and old ones they rediscovered. This month has a little of everything. I haven’t been buying a lot so there isn’t much new, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love them!

Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in ‘Let’s Hear it for the Boy’ (Picture)

I feel like I don’t talk about nail polish enough on my blog. It’s a shame because I own over 100. So now I want to start getting into the habit of at least always mentioning my favorite nail polish I wore the past month in my favorites posts. This month it was ‘Let’s Hear it for the Boy’ from the Deborah Lippmann Footloose line. I really love Deborah Lippmann polishes despite the price! They go on smoothly, dry nicely, and don’t chip too quickly! I love this light blue shade for the spring time.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I wasn’t a huge fan of this mascara at first, but after about a month of being open, I’ve actually started really loving it. I haven’t tried a Maybelline mascara in awhile, but I saw this around the blogosphere so decided to give it a go. The Lash Sensational mascara is supposed to create fanned out lashes. At first, I found it too wet, and applied too much product too fast. Now, I find it really does fan out my lashes and holds their curl all day long. It’s hard to get off, but the magical Lancome Bi-Facil has been doing the trick for now!

Julep Lock Down Your Brows Brow Gel

I forgot to skip my Julep Maven box awhile back. I’ve been skipping most months because I really don’t need more polish. Luckily, I liked the colors I ended up getting, and actually needed a clear brow gel! I’ve been using Benefit Gimme Brow for a few months, but don’t really need to add color to my brows everyday, plus I don’t want to go through it too fast. On light make up days I go for this clear gel instead. The wand is tiny, which fits the brow well. It dries fast and doesn’t feel weird on the brows.

the body shop honey bronzer

The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 01

It finally became spring and summer this month, so I needed to start getting my glow on. To start faking my summer glow, I started using bronzer a lot more than usual. I’d sweep a little on my cheeks, temples, and bridge of my nose. The honey bronzer from The Body Shop is very light, so no risking going overboard. My compact broke a little which is annoying, but I think this bronzer will be a staple for a long time.

Milani Luminoso Blush (Full Review)

To add to my glowy routine, Milani Luminoso was the perfect blush. The peach color brought out the tan in my skin, and the shimmer added the perfect amount of glow. This is such a great blush for such a cheap price. Will always be my go to for the summer months!

Andalou Naturals Pore Minimizer Toner (Full Review)

I was having some bad skin after I’d been sick in April. I got into a good routine of using the Andalou Natural Pore Minimizer Toner (a long time favorite of mine) twice a day. The minty smell feels so freshing, you can tell your skin is getting clean. It helped reduce redness overnight and cleared my skin gently. I’m running out, so a repurchase shall happen soon!

  1. I have that Milani Luminosa blush somewhere and it’s such a gorgeous shade. I’ve gotta dig it out. And I love all the DL polishes!

  2. I had Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, like it at the beginning but then I didn’t haha For me, the issues was that it didn’t lengthen my lashes. Otherwise, I did like how it went on. 😀
