April Favorites 2015

Tracking favorites every month really makes the months go by faster, I swear. It’s also a fun way to keep track of your life. I like going back and looking at old favorites posts and seeing what I was using then. This month I’ve got all make up favorites! That wasn’t on purpose, I just didn’t really try any new skincare or haircare this month. I brought out all my spring and summer make up, so that’s really what I was falling in love with this month!

American Apparel Nail Lacquer in Poppy (Manicure)

When I was first starting to get into nail polish I was picking up colors left and right from wherever I could get my hands on them. Not far from my apartment was an American Apparel. While legging shopping one day I picked up this bright reddy orange shade called Poppy. I hadn’t used it in FOREVER and used it in a manicure this month. Damn, it’s great. It’s a true poppy red that is perfect for spring!

Eco Tools Tapered Blush Brush

Early in April my mom was in town and all I bought was this brush! I was on the hunt for a few specific things, but couldn’t find any of them except this. I was in the market for a new brush I could use for bronzer. I don’t really contour or anything, I just like to apply bronzer to the high points of my face for some color. This Eco Tools brush is SO SOFT! It’s working perfectly for what I needed.

Benefit Posie Tint

I’ve got a lot of little deluxe samples of make up I’ve gotten from subscription boxes. I’m trying to use some of them up but it’s taking forever! This month I pulled out this little vile of Benefit’s Posie Tint. This color is perfect for spring and summer. The shade is a glowy orangy pink that makes you look SO healthy. I love it on the cheeks and lips.

Julep Nail Color in Jenna (Manicure)

When I wore American Apparel ‘Poppy’ this month I also wore Julep Jenna which came in the April Maven Box. At first glance I thought it was really similar to some other shades I have but it’s actually not. I thought it was orange, but Julep calls it tangerine which I guess is a better name. Whatever color it is, it’s great! Fun and bright, I’ll definitely wear it again soon.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Tulip (Full Review)

Sometimes I think I will never need another lip stick again because I discovered Fresh Tulip. This product is just perfect. It’s easy to use, it smells good, the color is a fun but easy to wear pink, and it comes in shin packaging. I love that you can layer up the Fresh Lip Treatments for more color or wear them sheer. This is going to get A LOT of use.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (Full Review)

I did a whole new updated review of my beloved Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I picked up a new bottle a little while ago, and especially now that the weather is warmer, I’m really loving it. I love glowy skin in the summer time and the Wake Me Up Foundation is getting me there. The coverage is just what I need for everyday.

  1. I’ve always wanted to try Benefit’s Posie Tint. I have a similar product from Elizabeth Mott that I love. I like the Fresh Lip Balm but haven’t bought one in a while because the bullet always broke off the tube & they’re too expensive for that to happen. Hopefully, they’ve fixed that since I’ve last purchased.

  2. Great list! I love Rimmel and Fresh products! I may need to pick up an EcoTools blush brush, as my regular blush brush is looking a little…. ick lol and I’m a sucker for trying new things! 🙂 haha
