Especially now that I’m (doing my best to) really living on my own without my parents money to buy me goodies, I’m much, much more careful about where I actually spend my money. In all parts of the world. Groceries? I don’t really need that box of cookies. Clothes? I’ve got enough jeans already. Make up? I’ve got enough. When I do spend my money on beauty goodies, I’m really careful, and luckily I’ve made some good choices. Here are a few more high end beauty items I think are worth the money.
Butter London Nail Polish $15
When I first got into nail polish, I got really obsessed with Butter London colors. I’d look at them online and try to find them for cheaper on eBay. I managed to find a few for a few bucks less than in stores, and I was SO happy. Now that I’ve been using a few for awhile, I’ve realized how worth the slightly higher price tag they are. The formula is like butter (lol) and the wearing time is amazing. And the colors? The best, most unique, most fun colors imaginable.
NARS Creamy Concealer $29
Maybe this will be the last time I talk about the NARS concealer? I just love it okay!! It took me awhile to decide it was a good idea to spend $30 on a concealer, but I’m happy I did. The NARS concealer covers up spots like magic, but isn’t too heavy under the eyes! Luckily a little goes a long way, so I’ll have this tube for awhile.
Roiel Cosmetics Marula Oil*
Since taking this picture, the Roiel Cosmetics site seems to have disappeared. As well as all their social media. So I guess this isn’t a very good recommendation any more. I guess I’ll reword this is “all oils are worth it!” A pure oil, with no filler oils or fragrance, is worth the money to me. The more pure a skin care item, the better it’s going to work. Oils make my skin glow, stay hydrated, and keep spots at bay. You only use a few drops at a time, so a small bottle will actually last a long time.
Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque $36
I actually got the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque from CVS with a few ‘Exta Bucks’ coupons, so I saved a little money. I’d still recommend it for full price! I’ve got curly hair that really need moisture to make it happy. Using a deep conditioner or hair mask every other week keeps my hair in check. Not only is the smell of this stuff out of this world, it really hydrates my hair. A lot. I only use a little bit on the bottom half of my hair, and let sit for as long as I can. My locks are happy.
