It’s nice doing monthly empties posts because I can really keep track of myself. I haven’t been buying many new items lately as I am trying to reduce my stock pile of products. My beauty box of back ups is almost empty, and if you’ve seen my last few empties posts you’ll know why! I’ve really managed to use things up and it makes me feel so much better when I spend the money on something new.
Lancome Renergie Lift Multi Action SPF 15
As you know if you’ve been reading my blog, I’m pretty into natural skin care. This day cream from Lancome is anything but. It’s jam packed with a million ingredients, many of which I can’t pronounce. The heavy, perfumey fragrance was too much for me and I think made me break out a lot. What’s weird though it…this stuff kinda works. The Renergie Lift line is all about tightening, lifting, firming, all that usual stuff. This little pot lasted me about a month and half, and by the end of it, my skin felt too small for my face. My 24 year old skin does not need that much tightening! Works or not, this stuff is EXPENSIVE (mine came as a gift with purchase) so I ain’t buying a full size!
Sephora Complexion Brush
Not exactly an empty, but something I’m getting rid of. I honestly don’t know how long I’ve had this brush, but they don’t even make it any more so…that long. I used this brush a lot for bronzer, just spent on the cheeks and temple. It picked up product great and never gave too heavy of an application. IT SHEDS LIKE CRAZY THOUGH!! My make up table was always covered in hairs, and even my shirt and pants too, every freaking time I used it. Finally just got a new one from Eco Tools. Life it better.
Physicians Formula Organic Wear CC Mascara
The never ending search for the best drugstore mascara…and another one bites the dust. I only used this mascara from Physicians Formula for a month or so, and decided it was time to say goodbye. The CC means ‘curl and care’. I have the straightest lashes on Earth, and this is supposed to curl them without an eyelash curler! 1. Doesn’t work. 2. Make your lashes really thick and feel like rubber. At least it came off easily? (AS IN FLAKED UNDER MY EYES AFTER AN HOUR). Ugh.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream
What good timing I had, finishing up this hand cream right as spring started. I’m sure you’ve all head of this product and tried it, but if not…This Neutrogena hand cream is super thick, almost like Vaseline. A little goes a long way, and keeps hands hydrated for hours (until washed at least). I kept this tube by my couch so I could apply some while watching TV and let it do it’s job. Now that it’s warmer out I can switch to something lighter, but it’s really great for winter skin.
Giovanni Facial Cleansing Towelettes
I try to not use cleansing wipes any more (the environment, ya know) but I do usually keep a bag on stock for emergencies. Cleansing wipes are just so much better to travel with, and the best for removing swatches during photoshoots. I picked these unscented ones from Giovanni off of Vitacost per WithKendra’s suggestion.
Michael Todd Organics Avocado and Mango Hydrating Mask
It was a surprise when I finished this amazing mask up because you can’t tell that it’s getting empty! Luckily I savored my last use of it. Avocado and mango, oddly, two things that give me a stomachache, but do wonders to the skin. This mask had everything I needed. Hydration as well as exfoliation. The fruit enzymes reduces my flakey forehead, and smelled good while doing it. I’m thinking I will definitely need to repurchase this (maybe in the summer?) as well as try out more masks from Michael Todd…a brand I absolutely love!!
