Wen Sweet Almond Mint Texture Balm

I’ve been meaning to write this blog post for days, but I actually had to do work at work this week, and by the time I got home I was so cold and tired it just never happened. One of my first blog posts ever was about Wen’s Cleansing Conditioner. I was unaware there were so many other Wen products until I received a few from Wen last month. I’ve had good luck with the original Cleansing Conditioner, so I was excited to try out some new things. First up, I chose the Sweet Almond Mint Texture Balm because I was intrigued by the packaging!

Now you may be thinking, Tess…that’s glue. It really looks just like a glue stick! The product twists up from the bottom, which makes this a pretty mess free application. Other balms I’ve seen come in a pot so you have to dig the product out and it gets under your nails.

To use, I twist it up a little, and just rub some of the product onto the tips of my fingers. Then I take sections of the hair and rub it in and convince it to do what I want.

I think this product could be used on all hair types. Short, long. Curly, straight. I like to use it on my curly hair. When my hair is wet, I apply styling cream and twist sections of the hair into curls. As it dries, some pieces don’t stay curled or stick out weird.

That’s where the texture balm is perfect. Ok, maybe it IS like glue. I use the product to my hair to stick in place.

This would be a great product for short hair or guys hair to style with. The stick applicator really prevents you from getting to much product on your head.

You can also use this to tame fly aways and frizz. It’s definitely multi use! Also, since it’s so tiny. You could throw it in your bag as an emergency hair fixer!

  1. Oh I’ve been wondering about this, thanks! It really does look like a glue stick haha. I’m a big fan of Wen’s Treatment Mist! I really like the Pomegranate scent, but I think my all-time favorite is the Winter Mint, since it smells like a Starbucks latte.
