Happy February everyone! I’m sad to see January go, as it was my birthday month, and birthday months are the best. February is usually bitter cold here in Philadelphia and very snowy. So far so good, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Everyone I finish more and more products, and am really clearing out my collection of unnecessary things. There is actually ROOM in my medicine cabinet right now. How crazy.
The world of self tanner is still a little confusing to me, but one thing I do know is that you’re supposed to exfoliate. I’ve really enjoyed using the Sun Labs Self Tanner over the summers, but I didn’t feel the same about the exfoliater it came with. This product was a goopy BRIGHT green gel with a little bit of exfoliating bead thrown in. I felt it didn’t do much exfoliating. I decided to just use it up and I’ll buy a new exfoliator come summer.
L’Oreal EverCreme Nourishing Leave-In Spray
This shiny gold number from L’Oreal is a simple leave-in conditioning, detangler, spray type thing. I’ve got some pretty unruly hair, so products like this are sort of necessary for me usually. Now that my hair is shorter, things are a little easier. I would just spray a little on my hair before brushing it out. It didn’t make my hair feel greasy or having, and had a light sweet scent. I’d repurchase, but I’m hoping to find a more natural alternative.
The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator
More scrubby bits, but this time for the face! I’ve got large pores on my cheeks and nose, so I’m always trying to make sure they are cleared out. I love the feeling of exfoliating my face, and this seaweed one from The Body Shop had the perfect amount of scrub. I’d use it about 2-3 times a week depending on the state of my skin. I would repurchase, but I’m hoping to find something with purer ingredients that I love.
A sad sad day when I realized this jar was empty. I LOVED this cream from Lumene. The light sweet citrus scent was amazing with every application. It was thick enough to hydrate my dry skin, but didn’t leave a heavy layer under make up. I used this every morning because it had SPF. I’m thinking I will repurchase this the next time I get a good CVS coupon!
The Seaweed Bath Co. Citrus Powder Bath
For Christmas my mom gave me a bunch of bath samples she’d gotten from subscription boxes since she doesn’t like to take baths. I was excited to use some new things! First up was this pouch from The Seaweed Bath Co. in the citrus scent. The product was mostly powder with some larger chunks too. While the scent was light and refreshing, it sure didn’t look it. Being a natural product, there were no dyes or anything, so the bath was just a browny orange color. It left a gross ring around the tub so I had to clean after my relaxation. I liked the scent but don’t want any more brown baths!
The. Best. Lip. Balm. I’m so glad I have three more of these to use. The Jack Black lip balm keeps my lips so hydrated, it’s like a miracle worker. The mint scent is fresh, and doesn’t linger too long. I also love it has SPF so your lips are always protected from the sun! Definitely want to try more scents too.
I can already tell I’m going to finish a few beloved items this month. It’s always so sad to finish something you really love! I’m also thinking I need to do a sample clear out soon.
