Winter. Oh Winter. How you suck every little bit of moisture out of my skin from head to toe. This year feels especially bad. I’ve got radiator heat in my apartment which is very dry, and my bedroom is so freaking hot. My skin has been so dry it almost hurts sometimes. Lotion wasn’t doing it for me. The heavier the lotion the more irritated my skin was getting. I finally gave in and decided to pick up something I’d been wanting to try for ages, the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. So far, my skin has been very, very happy about it…
I’m pretty sure the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask is a known cult favorite in the beauty world. It’s easy to use, smells great, and performs like something much more expensive. It hydrates the skin beautifully leaving skin looking plump, healthy, and flake free.
I use the Drink Up Mask for sure once a week, but more if needed. After cleansing, toning, and all that jazz, I had a small amount all over my face. I try to do this about an hour before bed time so the mask can start to sink in. On first application it can feel a bit sticky.
Other times during the week I’ll use the Drink Up mask if I’ve had a long night, or have an event I’m going to that I want to looking extra good for. Even though it’s an overnight mask, I can see a difference in my skin after an hour or two. Very multi use!
The product goes on just like a lotion, but you can feel it on your skin. Once rubbed in you can’t see it’s there, but you’ll feel a slight film on your face and might seem a bit sticky.
The smell is so fresh and juicy. I’d use it just for the scent! It smells natural too. I find perfumey scents irritate my skin, but I have no issue with the scents in Origins products.
After a nights use, my skin feels baby soft. Where my skin was flakey the night before looks smooth and hydrated. I always make sure to wash my face in the morning to make sure there is no residue of the mask.
To sum it up, the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask really is a drink for the skin. If you’re suffering from dry skin I highly suggest giving this a go!
