September Empties 2014

september empties

It’s a sad time. I’ve finished some goodies. In my efforts to use up a lot of extra stash I had around, I’ve ended up finishing some products I really loved. My stash box is busting at the seams. Every time I take something out, it doesn’t seem to get smaller. Luckily, at this point, I have managed to finish up a TON of items I wasn’t too fond of or didn’t really need. My medicine cabinet actually has room in it!

heritage store rosewater

Andalou Naturals Lash + Lid Make Up Remover- The consistency of this make up remover was like a lotion, which took a little getting used too. You simply rub the product onto the lashes (or whole face actually) to remove make up! Once the make up is broken up, just rinse off with water. The lotion-y texture keeps my skin hydrated which is very necessary. I liked this product, but I think I prefer oil based cleansers now.

Andalou Naturals Illuminating Toner- I used to think toners were pointless, but then I smelled this one… I’m not sure this toner from Andalou Naturals really brightened my skin much…but I couldn’t stop using it! It smells like fresh clementine juice, making it a joy to spray on. My skin definitely reacts well to Vitamin C. It makes my skin feel healthy and well, normal.

Heritage Store Rose Water Spray- Another spray I just can’t stop spraying. I’ve already got my back up fully in use. This rose water spray is so simple. Water. And rose. I love to spray this on my face as a toner, as a setting spray, or just as a refresher. Sometimes I’ll even spray a little on my clothes or hair so I can smell like a fresh rose all day long.

tresemme heat protectant

Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Conditioner- I received this little spray from a Birchbox awhile ago. So it’s a dry conditioner. And yes, I still don’t really know what that is. The product came out as a clear aerosol spray that smelled heavily of perfume. How I used it was on the ends of my hair if they were feeling a bit dry or needed some life. I think it helped a little, but seemed a little excessive and unnecessary in a hair care routine.

Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Protectant- It’s hard to say if a heat protectant is working. My hair is still on my head, so I guess that’s a good sign. I don’t use heat on my hair most days, I just can’t be bothered, but when I do I always use a protectant just in case. I really like the spray on this Tresemme bottle. It comes out in a very fine mist so it’s easy to get every hair coated.

dkny delicious

DKNY Be Delicious Perfume- I had this perfume for awhile, then got tired of it. I thought the sweet appley scent was too childish. Then one day a few months ago I gave it a sniff and liked it again! I figured summer would be a good season to use it up. The smell is very fresh and fun, but I couldn’t wear it everyday.

Deborah Lippmann Fast Girls Base Coat- Not too much to say about a base coat. My nails wouldn’t chip too much after a few days. It dried fast. I mean, its just a base coat. You can get something that works just the same for a much cheaper price from a drugstore.

  1. I don’t really understand to point of toners either but I use one too lol. Ugh. And I felt the same way about my DKNY be delicious (I had the red one, though). It is pretty, and very summery and it may sound crazy but I really enjoyed it in fall because the cooler weather just made it seem even fresher somehow.
