October may be quickly approaching, but it doesn’t mean summer has to be completely behind us. I’m not sure about where you live…but it was 85 degrees in Philadelphia last weekend. Not very fall like! Having to get my shorts back out made me think about ways to keep the summer glow flowing all year long. I picked out some of my favorite products that can keep you looking like you just walked off the beach as we head into the fall!
To keep a tan base, obviously you can use some self tanner. I’m no self-tanning pro, but I do believe if applied well, you can easily trick people into thinking you’re just naturally a bronze goddess. I love this self tanner from Sun Labs. It’s not too orange, it smells alright, it blends into the skin evenly, and best of all wears off evenly. I never notice any patchy spots. If I’m going to an event or party where I may be photographed, I always apply a little self tan the day before so I don’t come out looking like a ghost!
My favorite foundation for glowy skin is the Rimmel Wake Me Up. It’s got just enough shimmer to make your skin glow in the sunlight. I’ve got a shade slightly too dark, so with a little blending I can boost the tan effect a little. Wake Me Up gives the skin an overall healthy looking effect reminiscent of our summer days…
Need a little perk? Milani Luminoso blush gives your cheeks the most amazing peachy look. I find the peach color looks extra amazing with a tan base. The blush also has a lot of shimmer which makes the cheeks glow.
Clearly the best way to mimic a summer glow is through a highlighter. And this is the best one. The Mary Lou-Manizer is so jam packed with champagne colored shimmer, it can make anyone look fresh. A little goes a long way too! Just dab on the cheekbones and you’ll look so glowy and healthy. Also works great as an eyeshadow!
NYX Glitzy Gold Eyeliner
A little gold eyeliner will reflect the sunlight and make your eyes pop. I love lining my upperlash line with a thin line of this super smooth liner from NYX. It’s not too shimmery or bright that it looks garish or trashy, it just adds a glow to the eye area. Also it’s a little different than your typical black or brown, much more fun!
NARS Laguna and Orgasm Duo
This duo is my savior all times of the year. These days, I’ve been even more obsessed than usual. Laguna is the perfect bronzer shade to add some color to my skin and still look natural. Orgasm is the perfect combination of peach and pink that makes your cheeks look plump and healthy. It’s got a beautiful gold shimmer running through it that reflects the light too!
the Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer
If you’re looking for something with a little more color, this bronzer from the Balm is super pigmented. The slightly reddish undertone gives the skin a healthy color. I love to use a little in the crease too!
