In getting ready to start packing up to move, I started to put in a strong effort to finish up products. I’d say I spent a good 3 months trying to finish stuff up, and didn’t let myself buy anything new unless I had no backups. Another month, another empties post, and as you can see I finished up a lot of stuff. Sure makes me feel good! I’ve still got plenty of stuff in my stash, but think it’s almost time for a big haul. My new bathroom has about 1/4 the storage of my old bathroom, so I’ve got to get creative to figure out how to keep my beauty obsession going.
I wish I could say I finished some make up this month, but let’s be real.. that’s hard!! I’ve been using the same eyeliner every day for weeks, and it’s still going strong. I have a few products I’m focusing on using up so I can move on to bigger and better things.
Queen Helene Cholesterol Hair Conditioning Cream- If you’re looking for a cheap product, this is your guy. I’ve tried a few Queen Helene products over the years…and while they are cheap, I’m not a huge fan of any of them. This hair conditioning cream did little to make my hair feel nourished, and actually made it feel a little dry. The smell was weird, and it’s full of bad ingredients. There sure was a lot of product though, for only a few dollars.
Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo- Like always, I finished the conditioner before the shampoo. I loved this Moroccan Argan line from Organix for awhile, but I’m glad to be finished with it. It smelled great, and made my hair feel really soft. I think it was a bit heavy for my hair though, because I found my hair felt greasy pretty quickly after a wash.
Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Scrub- For a trial size bottle, I was amazed how long this scrub lasted me! I’m a huge fan of Michael Todd products, and the Jojoba Charcoal scrub was no exception. The jojoba beads were really gentle on my skin, but still gave it the exfoliation it needed. I suggest using this in the shower because the thick, black texture can be a bit hard to wash away.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash– If you just need an easy facial cleanser, this couldn’t be a more basic option. I love most stuff from The Body Shop despite the ingredients, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase this product, purely for the smell. It was super gentle, moisturizing and cleansing. I just didn’t like that it smelled like baby powder.
Michael Todd Honey and Oat Pore Cleanser- A repurchase is going to happen soon, but I want to try some other things first. I think this cleanser is my favorite cleanser I’ve ever used! Honey and oat make this cleanser really moisturizing and gentle on the skin, and it smells AMAZING. Some how it lasted me so so long too, so the purchase is SO worth the money.
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream- I got this sample in a point perk from Sephora, and was so excited to be able to try this cult favorite from Bobbi Brown. I have pretty dry skin, so a hydrating product under the eyes is a good pick for me. I really think this product was just average though. It just didn’t stand out to me at all, and I think it clogged the pores around my eyes. I’d never pay $40+ for this!
Andalou Naturals Willow Bark Pure Pore Serum- My skin can’t handle being out of this!! I LOVE Andalou Naturals, and am so happy I picked this serum up on a whim. I have large pores that tend to get clogged, and I thought a clarifying serum would do the trick. It did. Now that I’m out, my pores look more clogged and I’m breaking out!!
Me & The Girls Moon Facial Moisturizer- This little sample of a natural moisturizer lasted a whole month, which is awesome. The product is meant to be a p.m moisturizer. In the pot, the product looks very thick. It’s oil based, so it actually melts in the hand. I rubbed a little bit in all over the face. I found it took awhile to sink in. I think it would have been better in the winter when my skin is drier.
Bath & Body Works Winter Chiffon Anti-Bacterial Gel- Slowly going through my hand sanitizer stash…I’m sure you’ve all had one of this little guys from BBW. I liked this scent, even though it supposed to be a winter scent. Probably won’t repurchase because I seriously have like 10 others.
Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops- I can’t decide if this is a gimicky product or not. So the idea is you put this oil on your nails after you paint them to make them dry faster. I don’t know how that works chemically. I use a quick drying top coat, so I don’t really know if this worked. I didn’t like that it made my hands all oily, and I always got oil everywhere.
Crest Sensi-Relief- I just thought I’d throw this toothpaste in here for some reason…Uhm, it’s toothpaste! I like how minty it was, I’m pretty picky about my minty-ness.
CoTZ Face Natural Skin Tone- It’s rare I like a sample enough to buy a full size, but I bought of full size of this CotZ product after two days of use. It fills the pores and protects the skin with a matte finish. It’s so easy and so useful. Love wearing this by the pool or at the gym!
Pacifica Alight Mineral BB Cream- This is the most shimmery BB cream ever. I couldn’t use it on it’s own! I would usually use this Pacifica cream as a base to illuminate the skin, then use a mineral powder over top.
Jergens BB Body- I heard a lot of good stuff about this Jergens product, but I DO NOT get it!! I guess it’s a BB cream for the body, so it’s supposed to perfect your body skin. I don’t know, it just seemed like highly perfumed lotion to me!
Lotus Moon Vitamin B Hydrating Gel- After a few days of use I just had to empty out this sample. The ingredients of this Lotus Moon product were awesome, but my skin reacted so badly. I broke out everywhere! I think it was too heavy for my skin, I felt like my skin couldn’t breath!
