September already?? Believe it or not I’ve been moving the last week, despite having finals to do AND it being super hot and humid. But, I’m finally done. Moving that it. Not unpacking. The past 2 weeks or so I’ve been living out of my make up bag and so I’ve only had a few things on hand to reach for. Despite that, I’ve really been liking my make up. All of this month’s favorites come straight from my make up bag, and I really wouldn’t have been the same without them…
Real Techniques Contour Brush- This brush doesn’t work AT ALL for me to contour with. Also, I am just bad at contouring. Instead, I use this brush to blend in concealer, set it under my eyes with powder. It is the perfect size and fluffiness to blend in the nooks and cranies of my face. It’s also super soft which is great for the delicate skin under the eye.
MAC 217 Brush– I’m sure you’ve heard it before but I’ll tell you again. YOU NEED A MAC 217. I use mine every single day. (Hence it’s no longer white). It packs on shadow, it blends it out, it’s a miracle working. I need to get another so I have a back up when I get one dirty.
Red Apple Lipstick in Audrey- I finally got in the mail my two Red Apple Lipsticks. I have a full review coming soon, but just had to give them a quick shout out. I have worn this shade Audrey every day for a week. The color is the perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade and would work all year round. It’s creamy and light the lips…and smells yummy. OHHHH and they are toxin and gluten free!!
CoTZ Natural Skin Tone SPF 40-I had two base products in my bag, my Revlon BB Cream which I’m trying to use up, and this CoTZ sunscreen. The Revlon one is just too greasy for the summers, especially on sweaty moving days. The CoTZ SPF feels very matte on the face, and hides imperfections to give a soft look to the skin. Combined with SPF 40, you’re good to got all day long.
Smashbox 15 Hour Cream Shadow in Topaz- Most days this month I wasn’t doing anything other than school work and packing. When I was going out, I just couldn’t be bothered with too much make up. This Smashbox cream shadow gives a frosty sparkly look to the eye with out too much work. Just dab it on and go!
Rimmel ScandalEyes Liner in Nude- I’ve been pretty darn tired lately, so my eyes are looking a little red. When that problem arises, my go to is always a nude liner. Rimmel liners are super creamy and easy to use, and SO cheap! The nude helps mask redness and give me a more awake look.
Now that I’m sort of settled, let’s hope I can get back on a regular blogging schedule. Empties tomorrow? Let’s do it!!
