Beauty doesn’t have to be expensive. It’s almost amazing how many awesome beauty products you can get for such a cheap price! I wish I’d realized the beauty of drugstore cosmetics at a younger age. It’s a great way to experiment and learn about make up without having to break the bank. Today’s post feature my Top 10 products under $10. I’ve got plenty more I love for under $10, but I had to cut the list somewhere!
Zoya Nail Polish $9
I really love Zoya nail polishes. The formula is great, the price is great, and the color range? They have EVERYTHING. The best part? They are toxin free…’5-free’. So they are much safer to use. All the colors I have are some of my favorite in my whole collection. Check them out at Ulta!
Maybelline Color Tattoos $6.99
I’ve talked about my love for the Maybelline Color Tattoos a number of times. These cream shadows last all day and give the perfect amount of color for an easy look. My favorite shade is ‘Bad to the Bronze’ which is perfect for the day, or can be packed on for a smokier night time look. There are some new colors out right now that look really great too!
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain $9.49
My all time favorite drugstore lip product…I have four. I love the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains because they really are what they say. They go on like a balm, but stain the lips for long lasting color. My favorite shade is ‘Honey’ because it literally goes with every make up look.
Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer $4.99
For super easy, on the go color, the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmers are a great option. The different shades are pigmented with fruit, like Watermelon or Rhubarb for really beautiful, natural looking shades. The Lip Shimmers moisturize the lip with a hint of color. Some are more pigmented than others so you can get exactly what you are looking for.
Maybelline Color Elixir $8.99
For some reason I still haven’t picked up another Color Elixir. The shade I have, Captivating Carnation is my favorite everyday shade, wrapped up into a super creamy luscious gloss. It’s almost hard to describe. The gloss is thick which allows it to last longer than other glosses, but isn’t too sticky or tacky that it’s uncomfortable. A lot of the color look really similar, so I’m not sure what other shades to get without repeating myself.
Jack Black Lip Balm $7.50
There are some fancy shmancy lip balms available at Sephora, but you don’t need to spend $30 to get a good one. I’m pretty sure for the rest of time I will buy the Jack Black Lip Balm. It just works SO well. I think it works better than anything from the drugstore, and for just a few extra bucks you can get something that will cure any dry lip. I have a bit of a lip balm applicating obsession, but the Jack Black balm works so well I only need to apply it every few days.
The Body Shop Shower Gels $8
The best part about these shower gels is a lot of times you can get them for $4.00!! The Body Shop scents department knows what they are doing. Every single shower gel smells absolutely amazing, and I just can’t get enough of them. Currently I’m using the coconut scent, but their ever popular Satsuma scent is definitely my favorite! Other than the scent, they are pretty much your typical shower gel, but come on, the most important part is the scent!
Tea Tree Therapy Tea Tree Oil $7.75
I’ve had a tea tree love hate relationship going on for awhile, but at the end of the day, it is definitely a miracle ingredient. Tea Tree oil works amazingly at curing acne. I love mixing it with water to make a toner, or add a drop to my lotion at night for acne fighting benefits. The problem is, tea tree can irritate the skin if you aren’t careful. Put it straight on the skin and you run the risk of getting really red, itchy, flakey skin for about a week. Use it right, and you’ve got a natural acne fighting miracle.
Jason Aloe Vera $4.99
Especially during the summer, aloe is a must have. This super cheap gel version from Jason works like a charm. It is really important to buy products that say they are at least 90% aloe, other wise you’re really just rubbing your body with chemicals that don’t do as good of a job. After a day in the sun, sunburn or not, I always apply aloe. It helps heal the skin and moisturize, which keeps my tan lasting longer. I also find using it on my face helps with redness!!
Heritage Store Rosewater Spray $5.99
Probably my favorite of the bunch, my beloved Heritage Store Rosewater Spray. I’ve already gone through one bottle, and am currently working on two more. I spray rosewater in the morning, at night, before make up, after make up, any time!! It feels so good to mist on the face and the light rose scent is just amazing. I find rose helps with redness which is a big issue for me. Applying after make up helps keep powder in place and everything set.
