(Hey look! It’s me!)
Today I want to talk about curly hair. It’s hard to explain my hair…it’s long, about boob length I’d say. It’s poofy, it’s frizzy, it’s curly/wavy/crazy. Without a lot of work, it looks pretty bad. 90% of the time it ends up in a bun or a braid because it’s the only way to tame the locks. I’m forever on the search for the perfect products to make it look the way I want. I like having curly hair because everyone and their mother straightens their hair, but I don’t want it to look bad. Which it usually does. My sister suggested I try Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls…so I did.
My sister’s hair is shorter and thinner than mind, but still very similar. She has been using Miss Jessie’s and it was working for her so I figured it’d be a good option option to try out after finishing my Moroccan Oil Curl Defining Cream.
Miss Jessie’s products are designed for curly, natural hair. All of their products have cute packaging and cute names all with one sole purpose. To solve the problems of curly haired girls around the world.
Pillow Soft Curls is a blueish color and is a thick cream. Looks kinda weird, but that doesn’t really matter.
I apply a dollop to my wet hair, smoosh it around, and then give it some scrunches to encourage the curl.
I definitely think the product helps my hair be less frizzy and helps it hold a curl, but it has the same problem I have with most curling products.
It makes my hair feel gross.
There is always one place where I didn’t distribute the product evenly and gets all sticky and crunchy. By the end of the day my hair always feels heavy and dirty. I don’t like having to wash my hair too often so this is annoying!!
I’m going to continue to experiment with Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls to see if I can get it to work for me. I’ve used so many curling products over the years and just NOTHING works!!! Any day now I’m just going to shave my head.
