I’m moving soon so I’m trying to finish up a lot of products to lighten my load. I managed to finish A LOT in the month of July, I’m honestly SO impressed with myself!! I’ve still got plenty to finish, but it feels good to be rid of so many items this month, even though I really loved a few of them! We’ve got a whole mix of hair, skin, body and even some make up!! Hopefully I can finish a few more items before I have to start packing. And then when I’m settled I can buy NEW stuff!!
So yeah it is impossible to describe scents. But what I CAN say is, I didn’t really like this. I spent the past few months just trying to finish it up because I couldn’t get myself to just throw it out. It is a heavy scent, very musky? I prefer really light sweet scents. Cute packaging though…?
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash
Omg I’m going to miss this body wash so much. It was on my top 10 wish list, until I found out I could get it at Sephora and literally the next day I went and bought it. Sugar Crush smells like limes and brown sugar. So invigorating and fresh. Also having a pump was SO convenient in the shower. I will definitely repurchase in the future, plush other Soap & Glory products!
If you’re a dry skin sufferer, you’ve GOT to get some of this cream. Embryolisse is a french brand, and I think the french just know what they are doing. It really keeps the skin hydrated, but doesn’t feel overly heavy on my skin. I used this at night. I was really surprised how long the tube lasted me, because you really only need a little at a time.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 30
SPF isn’t too exciting to talk about, but I’ll do my best. I think this one from Neutrogena is a really safe bet if you don’t know what to pick up at the store. It soaks in well and doesn’t feel greasy at all. SPF is super important of course, and this is so easy to wear every day too keep your skin protected. I have since purchased a different SPF, but I’d definitely buy this again.
If you didn’t know, I’ve actually got quite a lot of messy, curly hair on this head of mine. It’s usually frizzy and crazy unless I use about 34 products in it. One that helped quite a bit was this hair relaxer from Phyto. When used, it made the curls in my hair relax a bit, so my hair looked more wavy. I’ve had a few tubes of this before and will probably repurchase, but I hate the packaging. The metal tube is hair to get product out of, it kind of stabbed my finger toward the end!
Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Hairspray (Travel Size)
Weather proof? You’re speaking my language. A perfect hair day turns into a bun on top of my head in the humid months. I was intrigued by this hairspray when I first got it in an Ipsy bag. I used it as my travel hair spray since it was small so it lasted a while. I actually do think it helped with humidity, but thats just because it turned my head into a plastic shield. My hair became very crispy using this.
I always finish the conditioner first. Always. I love the smell of this line from Organix, but I’m glad to be done with it. I felt like the shampoo and conditioner together only got my hair clean for a day and then I’d just have to wash it again. They also have some bad ingredients, so I’m looking for a more natural option to make my hair healthier.
Revlon Colorstay Gel-Shine Top Coat
Well I guess this is just your everyday top coat. Not much to say. I bought it because I had a coupon on Revlon products. I much prefer the Sally Hansen Quick Dry Top Coat.
Lumene Firming Day Cream SPF 15 (Travel Size)
I really like Lumene products, there is something really interesting about them. At CVS I saw two mini sizes of the Firming line, the day cream and night cream. I travel to my boyfriend’s mom’s house a lot, so I thought they’d be perfect as my travel lotions. The night cream still has some uses left, but I finished the day cream. This was nice and light weight for day time, but I found the scent a little strong and perfume-y.
The Body Shop Mango Body Butter (Travel Size)
I’m sure everyone readying this knows all about The Body Shop body butters. I wasn’t sure I’d like something so heavy, so I got a mini size. I love mango scents so I went with that. I think the body butters are really great at hydrating and they smell so nice. I’ll probably pick up more scents in the future, but I’ve got enough lotion right now!
Covergirl Perfect Point Eyeliner in Charcoal
I’ve had this eyeliner in every color, and I’ve finally finished up the last one. Sort of. It kind of broke and fell out, but I wasn’t using it a lot anyway. The black color was okay, but I think this eyeliner is a little too hard and not pigmented enough. I felt like I couldn’t really see it on my eyes, and by the middle of the day it wears off.
Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Watermelon
I really loved all the Burt’s Bess lip shimmers I’ve tried. They moisturize well, have just enough color pay off, and come in a nifty little applicator. Perfect purse product. I like the watermelon shade because it goes with every outfit. I kept it in my purse so when I needed some color I could pop it on, without being over the top. I want to finish some other lip balms up, then I think I’ll pick out some new lip shimmers.
Be a Bombshell Liquid Eyeliner
I am not a huge liquid eyeliner fan. It’s hard to apply, and I think it just looks a little over the top most of the time. This eyeliner I got in an Ipsy bag did nothing to sway me. It’s like a marker for your eyes. It was too thick to make a thin, precise line.
Stila Lip Glaze in Kitten
I have now used up all of my Stila lip glazes. The shade Kitten was my least favorite of the punch, until I started using it everyday. Especially over top of the Burt’s Bees lip shimmer. The color was a pinky gold with shimmer, just like the eye shadow! The glazes are thick and sticky, making them last awhile, and taste like sugar!
Gosh, did anyone read all of that? SO MANY PRODUCTS. Time to take out the trash!
