I’m excited to bring to you another Natural Products post. I am really trying to feature more and more natural products here on my blog, and think these quick posts are a good way to do that. If you haven’t heard me say it before, I’ll say it again. NATURAL PRODUCTS ARE AWESOME! Over the past 6 months or so I’ve been switching my chemical filled products out for healthier more natural options. I’ve seen a difference in my skin, and overall can just feel better about myself because I’m using things that aren’t harming me (or the environment!)
Jeffrey James The Glow- I have a full review of this in the works, but for now I’ll give it a brief description. This awesome product from Jeffrey James Botanicals is a combination of every awesome oil you ever wanted to put on your skin. You’ve got your jojoba oil, your sea buckthorn, your olive. Together they create a great smelling lightweight oil to moisturize the skin. I use this once a week or so when I need some extra moisture, or when I’ve got spots it helps to get rid of them over night. Also, props for cute labeling!
Michael Todd True Organic Avocado and Mango Mask- I already mentioned this product this week…and last month….and the month before. OKAY I LIKE IT. Probably my favorite product from Michael Todd, this mask helps hydrate my skin and keep it looking young and fresh. Avocado and mango taste delicious, and they do some wonders for the face as well.
Andalou Naturals Lash and Lid Make Up Remover- It took me awhile to decide what I really wanted to say about this product. I like it, but I don’t love it. I rub about a pumps worth over my face concentrating on the eyes to get my mascara off. It gets eyeliner and mascara off pretty well, but the long wearing formulas are a bit harder. After enough rubbing that I look like a raccoon I was wash my face with cleanser. The first few uses burnt my eyes, but it’s been fine the past month or so. I think coconut oil works better.
Mrs. Meyers Candles- I’ve know totally used up 1 candle from each scent. I loved them all, but Lavender was by far my favorite, and I think Basil was a close second. Mrs. Meyers candles are soy and have natural smelling scents that I don’t get sick of. I think they do a good job of getting rid of odors without just masking them. I found the Lemon Verbena and Geranium to have less scent to them, but I still loved them. For $9 a piece, I will continually repurchase these, but want to try more soy candles!
I’ve got a list too long to talk about of natural products I want to try, but I’m always looking for suggestions. Try to keep them reasonably priced though.
