June over ALREADY?! What is happening! The months are going by so fast, I honestly can’t keep up. Before I know it, it will be December, and cold, and snowy. I’ve been loving a low of products this month, I had to take a few off the list! I got a few new products, and finally started using a few I had purchased awhile ago. Since I’v been finishing so many products up this year, I’m finally able to start using some new ones! A few are also old favorites making their way back into the rotation now that it’s summer. Can’t believe it’s summer….
Sun Labs Tan Overnight Tanning Lotion in Medium
I purchased a set from Sun Labs last summer, but ended up not using it up so it’s back on the bathroom counter this summer. I’m naturally a tad tanner than some, so in the summer I like to be even tanner. I think it makes me look healthy, and glowy, and awesome. The Sun Labs tanner is super easy to use and I haven’t had a single problem with it. It’s got a tint so you can see where you’re putting it. I’d say a tan lasts about a week.
The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator
Not sure why, but I’ve been having some dry skin issues on my chin. It might be from tea tree oil, but I’m not sure. The skin has been so flaky all month, and when it’s not, it’s just red. This exfoliator from The Body Shop is the only scrub I have that can get my skin nice and smooth. The other scrubs are too gentle. This Seaweed scrub has olive stone and jojoba beads, which is the perfect combination. Not to strong, not to weak.
Kiss My Face Moisture Shave
I think I’m obsessed with this stuff. The Green Tea and Bamboo scent smells just like Aveda products, which is my absolute favorite scents. This shaving cream is very thin, not like the crazy foamy Skintimate stuff. The product glides on nicely, and gives a really smooth shave. There really isn’t much to say, I mean, it’s a shave cream. The best part is that Kiss My Face is a natural brand! Oh and the smell….THE SMELL!
the Balm Cream Blush in Pie
This itty bitty sample was from a Birchbox. The actual product is part of the ‘How ‘Bout Them Apples?’ cream blush palette by the balm. I honestly didn’t expect to like this, but now I’m thinking I need the whole palette. The color Pie is a bright coraly pink. It blends out pretty sheer on the cheek to give a really adorable glow to the cheek. Shirtless cowboy is a plus.
Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Blunt and Smog
All time favorite eyeshadow: Urban Decay Blunt. Can you tell? I wore this shade everyday in high school and I still love it. It’s a simple color, a light shiny gold. Urban Decay Smog was also a favorite, but it didn’t get nearly as much love. This month, I was wearing them together almost everyday. Blunt on the lid, and smog on the outer corner and in the crease a bit. It’s a super easy everyday look!
Urban Decay Blunt, Urban Decay Smog, the Balm Pie
Uhm so I bought this entirely too long ago, and just started using it. I was trying to finish up another primer, and that took longer than expected. I have pretty large pores on my nose and cheeks, but I don’t have oily skin. (The two tend to go hand in hand). I wanted to try a ‘poreless’ primer but was afraid it would be too heavy for my skin. Luckily, this Tarte primer works great. It keeps the make up set throughout the summer days, and I can definitely see a ‘perfected’ appearance to my skin. Also, LOVE the packaging!
I have definitely put this beloved mineral powder in a favorites before, but I’ll do it again. I have a lot of no make up days, so now when I put make up on it always feels heavy on my skin. Mineral powder feels so light, especially in the heat. Just a little concealer and mineral powder, and my skin looks natural and fresh!
