I’ve got a lot of eyeshadows, and yet I always seem to reach for the same ones everyday. I loved my Naked 2, my Naked basics, and especially my Tarte palette, but looking at all those different shades can be overwhelming. Especially when I’m trying to get ready fast, it’s just easier to reach for a single shadow that can get the job done. On an everyday basis, I usually opt for a simple eye look, but all of these colors could be used at night too.
I love having a combination of drugstore and high end eyeshadows. Some drugstore options have amazing quality for the price, but high end shadows always seem to have a wider color range, and I can find exactly what I’m looking for.
Single shadows are great for traveling when you are trying to bring as little as possible. 2 or 3 little pots take up less room than a whole palette, and come on, you’re NOT going to use every shade in that palette!
All of these colors look great all over the lid. With a little primer they can last all day and look really bold, while still being quick and easy to use.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze: Dark creamy bronze that can be easily sheered out or packed on for any kind of look. Lasts all day on its own.
Stila Kitten: A cult classic, well deserved. Super shimmery rose gold color that brightens up the eye for a beautiful, classic look.
Laura Mercier Plum Smoke: Light purpleish grey taupe shade. Matte shade with just enough color to get a little outside the box but still neutral.
Covergirl Shadow Pencil in Ginger Flame: Light pink shimmer cream shade in the ease of a pencil. Blends out amazingly and lasts all day.
Urban Decay Blunt: My all time favorite, a light satin gold shadow. Adds light and shine to your look without being over the top.
