NYX Butter Glosses

nyx butter gloss review

It seems the NYX Butter Glosses are all the rage these days. And they deserve it.

I picked up a pack of three colors; Merengue, Apple Strudel and Creme Brulee from Ulta. The pack was $10, but each gloss sells separately for $5, so I saved a few bucks! I’ve only gotten into NYX make up in the past 6 months or so, and I am very quickly being converted to the whole range of products. Everything is amazing quality for such a cheap price! The NYX Butter Glosses are better than some high end ones. It is totally understandable that the blog world can’t stop talking about them.

The NYX Butter Glosses are pigmented. Not as pigmented as a lip stick, but definitely a bit more pigmented than your usual lip gloss. I have pretty light shades, but from what I’ve seen, the darker shades pack on a lot of color.

The glosses smell SO good. Which is always great when you’re putting it on your lips! They smell like sweet candies, but not too sweet that it is overpowering. Probably my favorite smelling lip gloss.

The color range is AMAZING. Everything from nudes to pink, magentas to deep reds. I am curious to check out some of the darker colors, since the three I have are all pretty light.

The tubes match the color inside which is great when you have a huge collection of glosses and know exactly which one you’re looking for. I was actually impressed by how well they matched!

Compared to the NYX Mega Shine, these are definitely not as shiny. They have a creamier (buttery?) texture, and a more opaque finish.

Apple Strudel is my favorite, I think it compliments my warm skin tone really well.

Have you tried the NYX Butter Glosses? What color should I get next?
