To start, I’ll apologize and say this palette is Limited Edition. Ugh, I know. I honestly feel bad posting about it since I’m not sure if it is available anymore, but I thought it could serve as some insight into Tarte make up in general. I really love Tarte make up, but haven’t had a chance to use much of it yet. Tarte uses more natural ingredients than most make up brands, but still has really beautiful and great products. Some natural brands have dingy colors and a small selection. Tarte has SO many products, and the MOST beautiful colors. This palette is the Be MATTEnificent palette from the CC Matte range.

The packaging! Oh the packaging, it just looks beautiful sitting on my desk. The case is made of plastic but seems very sturdy. I love how the outside looks like a mineral rock. Very unique packaging, and great to look at.
Inside, there is one blush, 6 large eyeshadows and 2 small eyeshadows. In this picture you can see the names of them, which came on a plastic overlay. All of the colors are matte.
Some of the eyeshadows colors are somewhat similar, but combined can create a really beautiful, soft look. Add the black or brown to any look to smoke it out or add some depth. I really love the shades because they are very wearable and natural looking. I love my Naked 2 palette, but sometimes a matte, simple rose shade is just an easier look to go for. I wish the black and brown pans were smaller, because I will probably rarely use them. It is useful to have them for traveling when I don’t know what look I’m going for, but they don’t need to be that big. The blush shade is also very natural looking, and different than anything I already own.
Here is a look at the whole palette. It is very compact, about 4 x 5 inches total. The mirror is the perfect size to have on the go or for traveling. The brush it comes with is soft and definitely more useful than most palette brushes. It is a bit on the small side, but could definitely be used.
From L to R: Elevated (Blush), Sand Out From the Crowd, Pink Outside the Box, Peach for the Stars, Rose to the Occasion, Two Plums Up, View From the Taupe, Dream in Chocolate, Don’t Stand Black.
Cute names right?
The texture is very very soft, which comes off a bit powdery. To ensure you don’t get too much on the lid, just tap off the brush a little before applying. The colors stay really well, and blend together well. The shades Rose to the Occasion and View from the Taupe are my favorites. I also like to wear Sand Out From the Crowd all over the lid with just a touch of Two Plums up or Dream in Chocolate in the crease for definition.
Overall, I think this Tarte palette is really great, and for $36 dollars was a really great deal. Shades like this are great to have on hand to mix with shimmery shades to create a really beautiful look.
Sorry if you can’t get your hands on this, but all Tarte shadows are really amazing and worth checking out!
