Another month gone, another month where I show you the bag of trash I collected. Empties post are so funny to me, because they are literally about trash, but they are also the most helpful posts because you can only give the best review of something if you’ve finished it! I’ve been using up products left and right, and am very proud of myself. I’m always amazed how much stuff is in the bag at the end of the month!
Crest 3D White Toothpaste- Toothpaste…exciting! This is just your average toothpaste. I felt like it didn’t do anything to whiten my teeth, but honestly I don’t think toothpaste can do that anyway. I’d pick it up again if I had a coupon.
L’Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream– I hated this. Then I loved it. Then it was just ehh. At first it made my eyes burn so I put it away and used something else. I decided to take it back out and it didn’t burn anymore. I felt it kept my eyes hydrated and plump. After a few more months, I didn’t see any difference when I used it. I hated the packaging too. The top would get dried cream on it making it hard to squirt out.
Jordana Fabuliner in Black- This was the first liquid eyeliner I ever bought, and I’ll admit I was scared to use it. For only a few dollars it is a good starting point if you’re not used to liquid eyeliner. It was pretty easy to use, but I’d prefer a smaller tip. It was pretty black, but dried up quicker than I’d hoped. I’m now using the Stila liner, and while it is a lot more expensive, I definitely like it more.
Vanilla LipSmacker- Not even sure why I had this…I found it in my desk drawer and realized there wasn’t a lot left so I’d use it up. LipSmackers are cute and all, but don’t really keep your lips very hydrated. The vanilla smell was pretty fake and plastic-y. I did like the consistency though .Very smooth and a bit glossy.
Lotus Wei Infinite Mist in Love– My mom picked this up as a stocking stuffer last Christmas. The smell was amazing…very fresh and tarte, but most of all natural. Lotus Wei is a natural company, and their body mists represent that well. I think I may pick up a full sized bottle one day, it’d be perfect for spring.
Simple Radiance Cleansing Wipes- If you’ve seen some of my old empties post, there was almost always a pack of Simple cleansing wipes. I decided to give them a break for awhile and use a cream make up remover. I decided have wipes around was just soooooo helpful, so I picked up a pack of the new Radiance wipes. I didn’t see any difference from other Simple wipes, but they do get the job done. So great for lazy days…
Simple Soothing Facial Scrub- Gosh, I feel like I had this forever. The best way to explain this product is…simple. Hah. No smell, no color. Just scrubby bits surrounded by cleanser. So, it was good, like it scrubbed and all, but it was kind of just…boring. Probably wouldn’t repurchase, I’ve been preferring chemical exfoliants lately.
L’Occitane Vanilla Flower Hand Cream- Best hand cream ever. No really! So thick, but sinks into the hands quickly. I kept this hand cream in my purse for on the go use. A little goes a long way, so it lasted forever. Definitely sad to see it go, not liking the replacement I bought! Curious to try other scents though, this wasn’t vanilla-y enough for me.
The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel– Don’t even keep reading this post. Just get in your car and go to your local The Body Shop and buy this. Really. Best smelling body wash on earth!! I can’t get enough. I love tart scents, and this is so tart yet clean and fresh. My boyfriend loved it too. Planning to get the jumbo size at some point, but trying out a few other scents first!
Hada Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream- I got this sample from Goodebox, and natural beauty subscription box. I didn’t expect to see much of a difference in my skin with just 2 or 3 uses, but boy was I wrong. This cream is supposed to plump the skin and give lots of hydration. I really loved it. It isn’t super expensive either, will definitely get a full size at some point.
100% Pure Coconut Nourishing Body Cream- I had 2 samples of this body cream in the Grapefruit scent a few months ago and really loved them, this one was no different. The smell was out of this world. Kind of like coconut frosting. The cream was very hydrating but not too thick so it sinked into the skin really well. Going to finish up some other body creams, then I think this will become my holy grail!
Well there it is, my monthly empties!! Can’t wait to repurchase a few of these, but I’m trying to use up everything I have before restocking! Did you finish anything you loved this month?
