Natural Products #3

natural beauty products

I think it’s about time for another Natural Products post. Over the past 6 months or so, I have starting using a number of products with more natural ingredients. So far, I have been loving it, and wish I had learned more about them earlier. I was inspired by the book “Look Great, Live Green” by Deborah Burnes, which made me realize how most beauty products are jam packed with bad ingredients. In order to get more people using natural products, I have done a few posts on natural items I have tried. (#1 and #2). Keep reading to see what natural products I have showcased today!

desert essence coconut

Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner

I actually purchased these two hair products for my boyfriend so that he would stop using Garnier Fructis. I’ve used them on occasion because they smell so great. (I’m a huge coconut fan). The shampoo gets your hair clean and the conditioner keep it soft. It gets the job done, and with half the ingredients as most drugstore brands. Desert Essence are one of the most accessible natural brands, so it is a great place to start. Overall, if you like coconut, then just buy these. Now.

pacifica lip balm

The Natural Organic Lip Scrub

I received this little lib scrub in a Goodebox earlier this year. I had never bothered to buy a lip scrub before, but seeing one in my box got me excited. The scent of mine is Peppermint, but I believe it comes in a number of other scents. The scrub gets the dead skin off my lips, but the oils keep them hydrated. Oh, and it tastes yummy!!  I also love the packaging. You can really tell it was made with love by a small USA company. The Natural also makes lip balms to go with each scent.

Inika Brow Pencil

I also received this in a Goodebox, but it is also available from Birchbox which is pretty great! I have pretty thick brows, so I never experimented with brow products before. Receiving this pencil forced me into experimented, and so far I’ve been loving it! The color is a pretty good match for me, just a tad too light. I just carefully fill in a few of the gaps in my brows and set it with a clear gel. The pencil is very waxy which also helps keep things in place. I don’t use this everyday, usually just when I’m going out or have a heavy eye look.

If you’re interested in trying out natural brands, I HIGHLY suggest checking out They have a number of great items, and GREAT discounts!! Use THIS link to get $10 off your first order!!

  1. I’m totally loving coconut anything right now, so I’ll have to check out that brand for my next Shampoo / Conditioner buy. I think my local Whole Foods carries it. I just discovered the Pacifica brand via my Ipsy bag last month and LOVE it! I received their Coconut Nectar body lotion and RAN to my local Whole Foods and picked up the Pacifica Coconut Nectar perfume; it is absolutely amazing!

  2. Love love love this post! I follow this blog called ecodivabeauty on instagram and I think they also have a website. I think you’d love their products… very natural and very luxe!
