It’s Birchbox time!! (TMI: My Birchbox ALWAYS comes when it’s ‘that time of the month’) For February, Birchbox teamed up with Us Weekly. I think because it’s awards season? I’ll start off by saying this box was not very good. There just isn’t anything I’m super excited to try…but maybe I’ll fall in love with something! I was hoping the February Birchbox would be Valentine themed, but I guess that would have been too obvious.
I’ll start with what I’m most excited about. The Serge Normant Dry Conditioner. The morning of the day I got my Birchbox, I was using dry shampoo and thinking “do they make dry conditioner?” I guess they do! This dry conditioner us supposed to be used on the ends of the hair to add silkiness and soften the hair. I have been having some really dry ends lately, maybe this will be my savior.
The second thing I’m most interested to try is the Benefit It’s Potent! Eye cream. I really don’t need a new eye cream, I have so many. But, I’ve heard about this one, and it comes in this super adorable little jar, so I’m interested to try it. It has a pretty strong fragrance, which seems odd for an eye cream. Hopefully my eyes don’t burn!
Now, let’s talk about annoying packaging.
I hate perfume samples. Hate, hate, hate. This Juicy Couture Couture La La Malibu perfume smells very juvenile, like a Victoria’s Secret body mist. I think I’ll keep it around, and maybe use during a weekend at the beach over the summer…but I’m just really not a fan of Juicy Couture Perfume.
In a Goodebox I received a lip balm from W3LL People, and here we have a Universalist Multi Use Color Stick in #8 Dusty Rose. As you all know, I’m really interested in all natural products, but I’m not interested in difficult to use tiny samples, or ‘color sticks’. I guess I can just use it as a lip color, but I’m not sure the color looks good on me.
Lastly, also from Benefit, a sample of the new BB Cream(?) called Big Easy. This sample is maybe just big enough to use once. I’m honestly not completely sure the use of this product. I think it is like a BB Cream, but goes on white and adjusts to your shade. I have a million products like this. Now I have a million and one.
So, the February Birchbox was alright, but I’m not in love. For a few months Birchbox was on par, so we will see how it goes over the next few months.
What did you get? Are you excited about any of your products?
