As I’m sure some of you have seen, this tag has been going around the past week or so. Figured I’d give it a go, and jump on the bandwagon. I first saw this post on The Beauty Deputy. Posts like this can be fun…and honestly I’m just too tired to review something right now.
What’s your most expensive beauty item?
I am going to say I’m pretty proud of myself for my most expensive item being $55…and it took me awhile to feel comfortable even paying that much. This is the REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask, which I reviewed here. I really love this mask, and totally think it’s worth the $55. Hopefully I won’t need to repurchase it too soon though!
What item do you have a strong love/hate relationship with?
For me, it’d be liquid eyeliner. I love how it looks, I hate how hard it is. Something always goes wrong when I try to apply liquid liner. They are uneven, blotchy, get smudged, flakes off….you name it, I’ve dealt with it. Whenever I get it to look good, I always love the effect it has. Any suggestions for a really good liquid liner?
What brand takes up most of your collection?
This question was actually kind of hard to answer, but I’m going to go with Urban Decay. UD has always been one of my favorite brands, but I don’t buy it that often. Most of the reason they win when it comes to amount is that I have a lot of their single shadows. And then if you include my Naked palettes, some eye liners and a lip gloss…. I guess I do have a lot! Maybe I should do a post on my favorite UD eyeshadows…because that really is my favorite. I also have a lot of Revlon…if you were wondering.
Guys, just looking at that picture is getting me…excited. I’m way too obsessed.
What product do you ignore the most due to laziness?
I think of it more as forgetfulness, rather than laziness. Setting sprays. Half way through my day I always realize I didn’t use any. Once I’ve finished my makeup, I always seem to forget to set it. When I first started using the Urban Decay De Slick, it took me months to get in the habit of using it.
What product gives you the most confidence?
If I can’t say everything, then I’ll say foundation. I have pretty dull skin that tends to get red. Foundation helps cover all of that up. If I just have to run out the door to get milk, I’ll at least put some tinted moisturizer on too help even out my complexion. As long as that is dealt with, I feel a lot better about myself.
What item is at the top of your list?
Naked 3. Bobbi Brown lip color. Chanel everything. Molecule 01. But if I HAD to pick just one…I mean two…
Origins products. They are somewhat more natural than a lot of other high end skin care, and that’s right up my alley. They have so many interesting products, I really want to try some. Next time I need a new skin care item, I’m definitely going to go for Origins. I need to try at least one thing.
Tarte are one of the more natural options for high end makeup. I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything from the brand, and that needs to change. I need to try one of the Amazonian Clay blushes ASAP, and I think their primer might be a perfect product for me. Any suggestions on where to start?
Which make up product/look looks great on others but not on you?
Smokey eyes and fake lashes. First off with lashes, I am just shit at putting them on. And even if I get them on, I think they look so weird on me. With smokey eyes, well, first of all, I’m never going anywhere that I feel a smokey eye is acceptable. If I’m going out to dark bar, I may attempt it. I usually find it ends up looking muddy or like I just smudged my eyes with my hands or something. Even if it does look okay, I feel like I look like I’m trying to hard or something.
