Vitacost Haul

I’m not sure what took me so long, but I finally made my first Vitacost purchase! If you haven’t heard of it, Vitacost is website where you can buy everything from sunblock to granola bars, vitamins to baby wipes. Most products are natural and healthy, and for AMAZING prices. Natural beauty care can be expensive at Whole Food and other organic grocers. Vitacost has product for up to 50% off, plus good sales.

I heard about it through Kendra on YouTube. She gets a ton of her products from there. I’m hoping over the next year to start using the site even more to buy snacks, teas, beauty items and anything else I can get there!

Aura Cacia Lavender Essential Oil

I have trouble falling asleep, and I REALLY love sleep. So I’ll do whatever I can to fall asleep easy and get more rest. I’ve heard Lavender is really calming and beneficial in getting a good nights rest. At about $5, I figured picking up a bottle of Lavender essential oil would be a good place to start in experimenting with its benefits. I put about 20 shakes into a spray bottle with 2 oz of water to use as a room spray in my bedroom. It smells amazing, and so far I’ve been sleeping pretty well!

I’m not sure what else to do with essential oils. Maybe a diffuser?

dr. bronners

Dr. Bronner’s Organic Pure Castile Liquid Soap in Rose

I’m sure you’ve seen this somewhere, probably in the peppermint or almond scent. I’ve been using Dr. Bronner’s for years. My dad and mom used it in the 70’s because it was cheap and easy to find. Pretty much my whole family uses it on and off. I love the peppermint scent, it reminds me of my dad. This little 2 oz bottle was only $2.69, so I threw it in my cart to see what the rose scent was like. I didn’t even know they had rose! In one whif I was cooked. It smells amazing. I was planning on using it to wash my brushes, but I think I’m going to need to pick up a big bottle for my shower!

Dr. Bronner’s soaps are as pure as pure gets. If you’re looking to try natural products I highly suggest it.

Giovanni Frizz Be Gone

I have dealt with frizzy hair my whole life. My medicine cabinet has loads of products aimed at dealing with the issue. I love the John Frieda ‘Secret Weapon’ but it is full of chemicals. I picked up this serum to see if it can be a more natural alternative. I’m happy the bottle isn’t too big, so I can easily bring it with me on trips. For less than $5, if I don’t love it, I won’t be upset.

coconut oil

Nature’s Way Unrefined Coconut Oil

I finally own coconut oil! I have heard so much about this product over the past year or so, and I’m excited to be a part of the trend. Coconut oil can be used as a hair mask, to cook food, and has a ton of amazing benefits for your body. I know I want to try using it as an overnight hair treatment, and I want to try using it in some cooking, but I’m not sure what else yet.

If you have a favorite use for coconut oil please let me know!

Dessert Essence Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner

These are actually for my boyfriend, but I plan on using them sometimes as well. He’s been using Garnier Fructis for as along as he can remember, and while it smells amazing, I really want him so start using more natural products like me. These are the top rated shampoo and conditioner on Vitacost so I assumed it would be a great place to start. I love the smell, so hopefully he loves it too! The shampoo was on sale so I got both for less than $9!
