Moving Week Make Up

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’m moving on Sunday, so I’ve been busy busy busy packing and running errands. As you can imagine, I’m not in the mood to do any fancy make up, or anything too heavy either. It’s hot out, so while running between stores I don’t want my make up melting off. This is the look I’m going for this week. Show casing a few of my favorite products, I know I can walk out the door looking my best, without feeling weighed down.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer $43

This was one of the first bits of high end make up I purchased for myself. My roommate of the time raved about the Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation, but at the time, it was the beginning of summer, and I thought that would be to heavy. Instead, I opted for the tinted moisturizer. This stuff is amazing. It has really good coverage, SPF, a light weight feel, and stays put all day. For a quick look, this is my favorite for the face!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer $7.99

I usually don’t bother with concealer if I’m going for a light look, because if I had anything to conceal, I would just be wearing foundation instead. The days I don’t need any extra coverage, I still like to use a highlighting concealer under my eyes to add brightness. I haven’t been sleeping well (moving stress) so this concealer helps me look more awake. It blends seamlessly with the tinted moisturizer as well.

Make Up Forever Pro Finish Powder $36

A recent addition to my beauty collection, this stuff is quickly becoming a favorite. This powder is ‘multi-use’ meaning you can use it wet or dry, but I only use it dry. On top of a BB Cream or tinted moisturizer, this powder makes it look like you have flawless skin, with a lighter weight feel than a foundation. It keeps me very matte throughout a day of sweaty errands. Also, the powder is so finely milled, you don’t have to worry about looking cakey if you use it on its own.

Mac Blush in Well Dressed $21

Oh, is this the best blush ever? It might be. Light pink with blue undertones…something about this blush instantly makes me feel more beautiful and fresh. Not too dark, not too light, it is just the perfect color for a simple dewy look. Whenever I’m not sure what color blush to use, this always ends up being the one I go for.

Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten $18

I don’t want an eye look that is too complicated and fussy. Stila Kitten is the perfect shadow for that type of look because it looks amazing all the time no matter what. It is just amazing. I just swipe this all over the lid for the perfect amount of color and shimmer. Something about the pinky champagne color looks great on all skin tones and with all outfits. I can’t believe I haven’t had this eye shadow my whole life…it could have changed things.

Urban Decay Naked Basics $27

If I’m not feeling shimmery, or I just want to add a little depth to Stila Kitten, the Naked Basics palette always saves the day. When I’m wearing Kitten, I had a little Naked 2 in the crease to add some depth, and Foxy on the brow bone. When I’m not wearing Kitten, I do WOS all over the lid, Naked 2 in the crease and a little Faint to deepen it up. For any look, this palette comes in handy. So happy this was created.

Covergirl Clump Crusher $8.99

Like most girls, no matter the look, day or evening, I need mascara. I used to not wear it everyday, but once I got in the habit, I started hating how I looked without it! Covergirl Clump Crusher has been my go to lately. One coat if perfect for a day of running errands, but you can easily build it up for a heavier night time look. I don’t think I’ve ever repurchased the same mascara except for Maybelline Great Lash. Clump Crusher might be the second!

I can’t wait till I’m done moving, and can actually sit down and do my make up properly. Half of my stuff is already packed, and I’m never going any where I need to impress someone. Once I move, school will be starting so I’ll have all my stuff out, and places to go!
