Embryolisse is a French skin care brand that I’ve seen on a lot of blogs and YouTube channels lately. It’s hard to find in stores, but is easily available on the Embryolisse website. The products were designed by a physician, which I think is the secret to the success of these products. No gimics, no fancy scents, just simple products that use plants based ingredients to do the trick. A few weeks ago Embryolisse was featured on HauteLook, a website that offers daily deals on make up/skincare/clothing/accessories. Going through that website I bought these products for approximately 30% less than they really cost. I picked up two products. (Note: These products are paraben free and not tested on animals)
Lait-Crème Concentrè (24-Hour Miracle Cream)
This first product is moderately thick lotion that is “multi use” although I only use it as a moisturizer. It can also be used as a primer and a make up remover. One of these days I will try it as a make up remover, but I’m a huge fan of make up remover wipes, so I don’t see myself liking it that much. I have used it as a primer, but I felt it didn’t absorb into the skin as well as a real primer, so I usually don’t use it for that purpose. I mainly use this as my night time moisturizer. It does not have SPF which is why I use it as my night time cream. It is pretty thick, so over night it can slowly sink into the skin and hydrate. That is my favorite thing about this product. I still haven’t quite figured out why it is referred to as a “miracle cream” but that doesn’t change the fact that I love this product. It’s simple. And that can be hard to find in a cream. If you have sensitive dry skin, this is definitely a product to check out.
Lotion Micellaire (No Rinse Make-Up Remover)
If you’ve heard about the Bioderma craze, then you understand what a “cleansing water” is. Simply put, its a magical water that removes dirt, oil and make up. It really does seem magical because it feels like water. I wear a lot of long wearing make up which can be hard to remove. In my night time routine, I use a make up wipe to remove the majority of my make up, then go over my face with a cotton pad soaked in this make up remover to get off the last bits of make up. This ensures your skin is REALLY clean. It doen’t irritate my skin like some toners can. On days where I just wear tinted moisturizer and mascara, this gets it all off really easily. If I were to travel, this would be a nice product to bring because it takes make up off and cleanses the skin.
If you ever have the opportunity to try out any Embryolisse products, I’d recommend it, but definitely keep and eye out for deals. I like this products, but am very glad I didn’t pay full price for them.
