Boy did I have a busy week! Finally it’s Friday and I have all day to catch up on my blog, get some homework done, and then I’m planning on making a very yummy dinner tonight! We’re a few days into March now, and getting closer and closer to spring. The next few days are supposed to actually feel like early spring weather! I had a few favorites this month that I won’t be able to live without in the future, and really helped me through this last month of winter.
MARCH IS HERE. But it’s freezing. Snowy. Spring will never come.
One of my favorite nail polishes of all time is American Apparel ‘Office’. Seafoamy green colors are my favorite shade. I love this color because it is versatile, and the formula is awesome! I wear this color more throughout the year than any other shade I own. I paired it with OPI ‘Number One Nemesis’ for a little easy nail art. This OPI shade is from the Spiderman collection. It’s a charcoal grey with baby shimmer throughout it. It’s a great shade, but I wasn’t feeling an all over dark nail.
This nail art is super easy to do. All you need it tape!
Empties, empties, oh so many empties. I feel like it never ends. Every month I am so proud I finished a bunch of products, but then I look in my bathroom, and there are products everywhere! I’m not really in a “no-buy”, mode but I am trying hard to resist the urge, and just use stuff up! It takes a lot longer than I think to finish things. Working on month 3 trying to finish a lipstick I’ve had for awhile, but don’t want to throw out.
14 items! Let’s go!
A reader asked if I could do a post going into more detail about how I use Coconut Oil, and I thought that was a great idea! I’ve only recently started to use Coconut Oil, but everyday I’m discovering a new way to use it that I love.
First, a little about this amazing product. Coconut oil comes in a solid form, but melts at 76 degrees Fahrenheit. This means it can easily melt from body temperature, but will stay in a relatively sold form in room temperature. Coconut oil contains a unique combination of fatty acids. They are absorbed into the body in a different way than other fatty acids, producing a natural source of energy. An increased amount of energy means more fat burning. It can also be good for the heart, the liver, and the brain! Coconut Oil also contains Lauric Acid which can kill bacteria and viruses in the body and on the skin. In terms of beauty, the unique composition of Coconut Oil allows it so soak into the skin and moisturize. The semi-solid form also makes it easier to work with when using it on the body.
Spring was here over the weekend, but has now receded back into the shadows, hopefully to return in a few weeks time. It felt so good to be out in the sunshine and feel the wind on my skin, but the fact is, it’s still winter. So instead of opting for a fun, bright color, once again I have gone with a dark shade to ride out the end of February. Can you believe it’s the end of February?
Butter London Black Knight is an amazing shade. The base is pure black, but it is packed with green, blue and pink shimmer. I think it is a much easier, and adult way to wear glitter. I love Butter London polishes for their uniqueness, but I have had so many problems with the formula. It is super gooey and hard to work with. Maybe I just have bad luck? There is something funny about the name “Black Knight”…imagine a night wearing sparkly armor!
